The light is actually quite nice. Very bright LEDs and the unit is solid aluminum. The cover over the LEDs is glass as well and not cheap plastic like on some models. I also like that the mounts lift the light up above the tank about three to four inches. The only down side was the power supply for the light wouldn't work. It was dead out of the box. Luckily I had a power supply for another aquarium light that was the same type and it works fine now. The phone app is nice too. A lot like the Fluval app but with more features. The thermostat is nice as well as you can monitor it from anywhere and it will send an alarm for your high and low settings. Would have liked to have given it five stars but couldn't due to a DOA power supply. Cheers. 11/03/23 Company contacted me and was very generous and sent out a new power supply to me. Adjusted to five stars. Again, a very nice light for the price. ... show more

Will give an update it was really easy to set up. The app will automatically find the device/light, So far definitely worth getting, I would recommend if you have the extra money to get the light itself the whole length of the tank

Nice, programmable, smart light, buy not seeing the improvements on plant growth i hoped for yet, but my expectations might have been too high, my only experience was the "simple" light that came with tank, this is definitely an improvement. 4 stars just for nor being able to customize automatic w adding or editing the schedule. I mean ya, suns up for let's say 12 hrs for discussion. But in reality it's not 100% for those 12 &@&#&$& hrs. We need to be able to set daytime peaks and evening lows... Criticisms aside, it really is a wonderful light w many features on the way.
