I really like this handle, and would recommend it across the board if it weren't for one really annoying flaw: the cable. True, a coil-style cable would be much better for cable management, but that's not really the issue. My main complaint is that the connector sticks out from the bottom of the handle, so if you are using it on the left side, it digs into the flesh of your hand and totally negates the comfort of the wood handle. It's really not noticeable on the product pictures, so I took some to illustrate the problem. It really does get uncomfortable quickly. I mainly bought this handle because it was reversible so I could use it on the left side of the camera. Even though I am right-handed, I prefer to shoot that way to keep my right hand free for camera adjustments and such. Besides that, when I tried it on the right side, the balance was really off, especially because it sticks out so far. Since the weight of the lens is more on the left of the camera, putting it on the left actually gives my whole little rig a more balanced feel--particularly when I switch to using the top handle on the fly. The one I bought only came with one cable option (Panasonic), and works great with the Lumix DC-G95 but doesn't work with my FZ-300, in spite of it fitting nicely into the Remote port. (Note: it only controls video, not photo, so keep that in mind.) Nice to see that they are offering this version with all three cable options, for those who might have multiple brands of cameras. (At least I assume so by the description.) I can understand why they made the cable that way, but I can't quite understand why they put the connector right there. I searched around for possible 3rd-party replacement options, but since this is a pretty much a proprietary cable, it looks like you would have to make one yourself, and to pull that off, you'd have to really be handy with a soldering iron. (Which I am not.) Bottom line, I would recommend this handle for right-hand use, or dual-handle use as long as you have a left-side handle that can balance it out. But until they address the cable connector issue, I can't really recommend it for lefties, or for people like me who like to shoot left-handed. I decided to keep it and live with the annoyance, with the hope that eventually SmallRig will fix this flaw. And hopefully when they do, they will make the improved cable available for purchase separately, so I don't have to buy a whole new handle. ... show more

They said EOS R is not compatible but it works well!! when using panasonic dedicated cable to the 'remote' hole of EOSR. Even the picture is taken well But Z-Cam and BGH1 dedicated cable are not working and Sony dedicated cable was not tested because I have not conversion gender I don't know it's normal function using Panasonic cable ... show more
