Simple to use, great quality. I use it to support my 40mm Atlas Orion lens which is very heavy. One suggestion I would make to small rig is to put feet on the bottom that can extend or fold up when not in use to help stabilize your rig when it’s sitting on a table.

Purchased these and rails to use for stabilizing my 100-500mm Canon RF lens. Has worked out great. I use them on a bunch of professional filming sports shoots when connected to my tripod.

    • Great for when you're supporting a non moving part of the lens.
This is designed well. It's study, solidly-built, and works great for those heavy lenses. Unfortunately for me, it didn't work for my needs due to the fact that the part of my lens that it contacted landed right on my zoom ring. SmallRig makes another version that has wheels on it for the rotating part of your lens which is what I ended up going with but no shade on this product. Definitely worth the price. I've used this with 70-200mm f.28 EF lenses, and even a small 400mm wide-field telescope on a BM6KPro without issues. Raising/lowering is straightforward, though a fine screw-based height adjustment would be nice on an upgraded model. As it is, it works as needed for the price point, and the "V" of the base holds a wide variety of larger and smaller lenses. ... show more
