  • It seems to work
I use this to help support a long Broadcast lens. It seems to do the job. My only complaint is the knob that adjusts the height of the unit seems to work loose over time.

  • A Must Have for Video Production if You're Using a Rail System
If you're using 15MM rail system for video production, or you're shooting still photos where total stability is a must have, this is a no brainer. Even if you have a shorter lens, this adds additional stability between the body and the lens, and to the rail system, eliminating minute vibrations. For a longer lens, especially sports or wildlife lens this is a must have (again if you're using rails). This adds a lot of stability between the lens and the body, reducing vibration and improving clarity. That's really about it. I wish I had bought these sooner and I've used them on 150-600MM Sigma and even on 35MM Nikkor 1.8 and 50MM Sigma 1.4 Art lens in the field. ... show more

  • Solid unit
Well made and a good price makes it a great alternative for higher priced supports.

  • Good value
Sometimes with this company you pay $20 for a gizmo and you look at it and say - $20 bucks for this???- lol. With this unit - it's OK....Fairly well made item and has some weight!?

  • HIgh quality bracket
Like most Smallrig products, this item is built like a tank. Unfortunately, it was too long for my application and had to return it.

  • Long Lens Support Heigh-adjustable for telephoto lens on 15mm rods
Had some second thoughts to buying this item based on some feedback i saw. Bought it anyway and was not disappointed. The machine quality of the aluminum is perfect! I use a DSLR on a follow focus rig and sometimes while operating the follow focus I get lens movements. I installed this, used a long strip of Velcro to fasten the lens through the provides mounting holes on either side and now I have absolutely no lens shake. I saw some comments about the mounting plane should be V-shaped. In my opinion how it is is the best. It may be a little too wide for some lens like mine but if you strap it down it is perfect. One addition I did to mine was to add a piece of the loop side of a hook & loop velcro strip to the mounting surface to prevent scratching of the lens. Would highly recommend to anyone who had the lens movement issue I had or just need a good support for your lens. ... show more

  • This works fine for big lenses on the BMPCC 4K
I bought a Velo adapter for Nikon to MFT so I could put my Nikon 24-120 F4 on the cinema camera. The lens sucks as a video lens for things like follow focus and breathing but it gave me options for cheap. The lens is so heavy that it flexes the BMPCC 4K body. This lens support works fine for holding the lens body and relieving the stress on the camera mount. The knurled knob for tightening the support is fine if a tad small in diameter. It did not come loose in the time I was using the heavy Nikon lens... ... show more
