Description

What should I do if the yellow light is flashing, the tank is empty, but the mini dehumidifier won’t work? Please wipe the metal sensor contacts on the tank lid dry to prevent a false “full tank” alert. Why has my clevast dehumidifier’s performance dropped a lot? It works best at 68°F–86°F (20°C–30°C). Outside this range, dehumidification efficiency will drop significantly. How can I get the best dehumidification performance from my small dehumidifier? Use it in a small, enclosed room at 68°F–86°F (20°C–30°C) with doors and windows closed. Use a fan to improve air circulation, and keep at least 8" (20 cm) of clearance around the unit. Why does the dehumidifier stop working? If the ambient temperature is below the operating range, the dehumidifier may frost over or fail to start. Use the unit within the recommended temperature range for proper operation.

  • Great Dehumidifier
I’m very happy with this dehumidifier. It is doing a great job keeping my house at the humidity I prefer. I initially ran it at 40%. It ran a little more than I would like so then I increased it to 45%. I definitely noticed a decrease in the amount of running time, but it still was running a little more than I wanted, so I changed to 50% and it’s perfect! I run mine on turbo and and do shut it off when I want to watch tv (they are in the same room). But, if you put it on normal, I don’t think the sound is terrible. In the attached video, it’s on turbo in the beginning and I switch it to normal so you can hear the difference. It’s also sitting next to my small air purifier so you can see the size. So to sum it up, not too loud, efficient, great size and good price. ... show more

  • Great Dehumidifier
I’ve now been using the product for about 2 weeks. It’s worked exactly as described and expected. We are unable in our house to place a drain anywhere to allow continuous draining so I empty it out when it’s full. The previous version I used in my house was a smaller version and I would have to empty out the reservoir about once a day. This version being the 3000 sq ft one, has a larger reservoir and I only have to empty it once every day and a half. That’s been a tremendous advantage for me. It’s also done it’s job of maintaining the humidity in our house. I haven’t had any negative experiences with it yet. It’s actually quieter than the previous model I have been using which my wife really enjoys. Overall this is a phenomenal product I would suggest to anyone. I now have one in my house, one in my workshop, and one in our church fellowship hall. I will never go without one again and I would buy Clevast before I purchase from anyone else. ... show more

  • Reduced my home’s humidity fast!
My 25-year-old, two-story, slab house is less than 1400 square feet. There is one HVAC unit in the attic. Humidity levels are a problem in the summer and have hit 70% in the past. I've learned that this is dangerous for a house's structure and human health. I found this unit via Energy Star's 2021 most efficient dehumidifier list. Its 1.9 efficiency rating is one of the highest for a freestanding dehumidifier. While I have less than 3,000 square feet, I needed a unit to work efficiently and quickly to reduce the humidity level in my house. A safe level for the summer is 50-55%, and this unit got it there fast. I positioned it downstairs near the stairs in an open area. It’s in the same room as the downstairs HVAC return, and the upstairs return is offset from the top of the stairs. It has worked incredibly well to impact my entire home including the two upstairs bedrooms with closed doors. I tested its effectiveness by moving a small hygrometer to different rooms and watching my thermostat's humidity level. I unboxed and plugged this dehumidifier in on May 25. The air felt drier within hours. I kept it on Turbo mode for the first several days. As a result, I emptied the bucket two to three times a day and saw a quick decrease in the overall humidity. The one downside to this and any dehumidifier is that it generates heat, especially when in Turbo mode. Once the house's humidity was at or below 55%, I turned Turbo mode off, and I adjust the unit's level manually to keep it in the desired range. On low humidity days, I switch it to Comfort mode. Frankly, I liked this unit so much, I convinced my mom to buy one for her old house. ... show more

  • Works well
Pretty efficient! Brought the humidity in my basement from mid to high 60s down to about 32% within 24 hours, not even using the turbo function. I do have some gripes about it, though. I don't like that I can't tell how full the bucket is. Part of it is clear, so technically you can check the level but good luck making anything out. Feel like you should be able to light that up so you can see it better, much like my humidifier does. It also doesn't appear to turn itself off once the desired humidity level is reach. I've got it set to 40%, and it's reading 34%, but it's still churning away. Feel like that's wasting a ton of electricity. What's even the point of choosing a humidity level then? Seems like the "continuous" button is pointless if it's just going to keep running. Guess I'll have to fool with the timer on it. Overall though, for the price I paid (165$), seems like a pretty good bargain given the size and the energy star rating. Lots of 35 pint options out there that cost considerably more and usually are double the wattage without any extra features. ... show more

  • Clone Wars
This is a very good unit and oddly enough it is an exact clone of the "hOmeLabs 3,000 Sq" unit here on Amazon as well. Just with a different color scheme. It removes water just as well, sounds exactly the same and the control panel is identical. It is a good unit. Like all of these units I wish it came with a hose. Garden hoses are crap to use on plastic connections, which all of these have. So I suggest you buy the kit that they suggest or you will slowly damage the threading or it won't thread at all. ... show more

  • Works like a charm
I’ve only had it about a week but this dehumidifier is a work horse. The humidity has been so high my AC unit can’t keep up. I have inside doors that won’t close and condensation on my windows. This unit has dropped the humidity in the house by double digits. It removes gallons of water; I do empty the tank 6 times in 24 hours. It can be setup to drain outside but I don’t mind doing it manually. I have a small home but think I’ll get a second one to use on the other side. The noise is barely noticeable to me even on high. ... show more

  • 2 years - still working
I've had mine 2 years, and still works good. I grow pot and during the bloom season, it gets wet. This unit keeps the humidity pretty much at bay. Only problem is it uses 400 wh+, but I can fill a 3 gallon bucket in a day easily.. Amazing how I can get water from air.

  • Excellent value and performance
Living in AZ you would think I have little need for a dehumidifier, but with heavy monsoon rains and an issue with recently blown-in attic insulation, I needed a quick solution for way too much interior H2O in the air. The Clevast unit is super easy to operate. The float switch turns off as designed and the sight glass and floating level are easy to read the "harvested" water level. I found the percent humidity readout to be accurate and the controls are intuitive and simple to operate. ... show more
