This item is cute. But not designed well and made cheaply. Mine has already started tearing up. The velcro pieces aren't sewed on well and with each time of taking off or putting on its coming apart more. Also the fit wasn't good neither. It fit my dog around but was off on the length. It'll fit but definitely rides up on her. There wasn't much value to be had, as it costed a decent amount. Around the same as the first one I bought my dog that was the actual surgi snuggie brand, but this one doesn't even compare to the quality of surgi snuggie. It is pretty easy to get on, and washable. I'd suggest go with the original maker of these like surgi snuggie, you may pay a bit more but it'll be a way better product.

I am so happy to have found this surgical onesie. My dog had stitches from a tussle with a cat. He hated to have a cone on. The onesie was a lifesaver. Excellent quality, the material is a lovely soft fabric. I love all of the straps and velcro, so you can make the onesie fit where needed. I highly recommend this onesie

Upon initial receipt everything looked good. I actually bought 2 of these in different sizes and colors. First off, the sizing is extremely on the larger size. So size down 1 or even 2 sizes. Per their sizing guide the dog one was purchased for should have fit an XXL. However, I purchased a large for a different pet, again per their size guide. Well she was swimming in the XXL. It was huge on her. And the same for the large on the other pet. We really needed one for the larger dog so we decided to try the large on her and it fit perfectly. She wore it for a few hours and the stitching started coming apart. She was not overly active while wearing it as she had been spayed a couple days before. I also ordered The Wonder Suit as well which is designed by a vet. It costs more but is well worth the extra $.

I first purchased a large and my dog was able to get out of it in minutes. I thought it was just too big. So I purchased a medium. It fits snugly but every morning he’s out of it and is able to reach his incision. I like the sturdy Velcro they use but it’s not serving the purpose for which I purchased it. For reference I have a 7 month old corgi that is very long and lean. The medium is barely long enough for his body. Since reviewing this product, the company has reached out and help settle my dissatisfaction. I have changed my star rating to a 4 from a 2 based on the customer service. I’d still give the product a 2.

These arrived quickly which was a great relief, especially as my dogs were able to get to their incisions with the inflatable cones I had bought them. This suit protects the incision area, stopping them from repeatedly licking it. Light weight and stretchy. Easy to put on.

I would say to anyone that the back length is the most important measurement to consider when ordering. My dog’s back is 19.5” but her weight is only 37 lbs, so I ordered the size large (up to 40 lbs.). I should have ordered the extra large, even though the weight on the XL is between 40 and 66 lbs., because, as you can see from my pictures, the 1.5” in length of her back makes the whole thing too small. Being a tad too short on the back causes the garment to pull tightly between the two front legs when you pull it to attach the back pieces behind the back legs. I fear this pulling might cause irritation to her front “armpits.” You can see in the side angle photos that the garment pulls in order to fit the back, and you can also see that the Velcro in the back is not at the tightest, not even close. When you look at the full side view, however, you can see that it’s a little too big for her in the belly area, but the garment does have a belly strap to tighten that area up. I’m not taking any stars off because the product is good — and the Velcro is possibly the strongest Velcro I’ve ever encountered! — it’s just that my dog is just between sizes, apparently, which is not the products fault. I have ordered the extra large which should fit her better. Fingers crossed. Overall, I really like it, and covers her incision very well so that neither she nor her brother can lick at it while it’s healing.
