This is our 3rd Shih Tzu pup in the last 22 years and I never had utilized such a practical device after a spay as this surgical suit. Though for precautionary purposes if I do leave the home, I do put the cone on for reassurance.. otherwise while I am at home and can monitor my pup this product is such a life saver! The ease, able to take pup potty without removing the suit is such a huge win! I chose size medium for our 12 pound dog a Shih Tzu. It fits perfectly I didn’t want it too loose where she could nuzzle underneath the suit to lick. It is not tight either some room for her to move about freely. The service was amazing advertised at the time for my purchase next day delivery and it arrived perfectly on time. We have a 55lb Giant Schnauzer and ordered the 2xl, it’s PERFECT! She can go potty with zero issues! Best part about it that she can’t cut it off lol it’s really good quality and super comfy for her. Highly recommend so easy to put on and it’s super soft!

As first time owners of a puppy that needed to be spayed, I spent a couple of hours reviewing the “right” suit. I actually purchased a few prior to the spay that cost significantly more just to compare and choose one with the best functionality. I wanted something that fit well, yet loose enough to allow the surgical site to “breathe” and also allow our dog to move around and sleep comfortably. I also wanted something easy to put on/take off without disturbing the surgery site. This is perfect - the material is light, yet durable. The Velcro positioning is PERFECT for easy on and off. Easy to adjust. The neck area fit just right and was not too tight (we have a pit mix and she has a wide neck). The price point is great. The area for potty is wide and did not present any issues. While I can say the product quality seems fine, it isn't good for the use that it was purchased for. My female puppy could not go to the washroom while wearing it. My puppy messed herself while wearing this onesie. It was awful. I rinsed it out, sprayed it with stain remover and washed it. Sure the mess was gone, but the material held the scent. Day 1 review (will update post spay). I have a 1.5 year GSP/lab mix that is on the smaller size (40ish lbs). This was super easy to put on her. It covers everything that is needed and seemed comfortable. I got the XL and it fit just right, if she were much longer then I think she would have needed a size up. She was able to run around the yard and sit easily. It does have some loose strings on arrival so I anticipate we’ll see some separation around the arms/collar after washing/wearing multiple times. That said, hopefully she only has to wear it for this procedure so I won’t be sending it back. Update: first day was great. It’s way better than the cone. She can easily move around and it keeps her incision completely covered so there was no concern of her getting after her incision while we slept. I was a bit hesitant to try this because of the mixed reviews about material and fit, but I really needed a solution besides the cone and the inflatable collars are not enough to keep him from an incision. My dog is long haired and I couldn't see any examples of this on a long haired dog in pics either! FIT: It fits fabulously! I can see why, considering the varied shapes of dogs, some breeds wouldn't have this experience, but quite frankly, it would be impossible to make a one size fits all. for my dog the measurements left him with a snug but not too tight suit. I included pics of how it lays on a long hair sheltie ( 45 lbs, XL size). He looks dopey but it is a good fit. Material: It is that stretchy easy to breath jersey/cotton blend materials that they make a lot of sheets out of now. Happy with the stretch, cool feel and it will be easily washable. Reception: You can see his face. He frigging hated it. (At first) He quickly got used to it and is walking around much more naturally than he does with a cone on. We still use the cone overnights or if he is being left unobserved as an extra layer of protection. Design: We didn't cut the penis hole out because his wound is right under there. However, this is EASY to get on and off a dog that is socialized to being groomed/handled. When we take him out, we just remove the back legs and use the Velcro to roll it up like a T-shirt. Then we can put the bottom part back on properly when he is done. This is far less hassle than I had imagined it might be. This was perfect after we had our Doberman spayed, fit was good, she could use the bathroom and left her incision alone, which allowed it to heal properly, she was disoriented by the cone she was given so putting this on was way better than a donut or cone on the neck. I bought this for my dog had a small lump on right side ? Cystand continued to bite and lick at it to the point she scraped her top layer of skin off no matter how many times I put dressing on it she would bite it off. I ordered a 2x she wt 65lb . It fit her a little snug but not bad,soft look good, but Thin…..After a day of having it on she completely bit a large hole on side. To get to sore.Had to throw it away. Fabric is soft , But easily will rip if your dog wants to bite at sore or surgical are.Will not buy again 😞 ... show more
