I was looking for a solutions to set up my Office situation which is completely hard maple hard wood. Since maple seems kinda of easier to get roughed up, I was going back on a large area rug, a carpet rembrandt to cover the whole room and these wheels. Since these wheels are the by the cheapest and easiest option to try I bought these first. They worked great. Smoothly glides accossed the floor without and scratches with ease. I have heard that these type of wheels collect grit on the wheels which can potentially leave marks if they build up. I haven't had them long enough to talk about that. Potential downside is that you have to keep the area and wheels clean. So far not issues smooth cheap way to have wheeled chairs on hardwood. Sure beats buying a custom 12x12 area rug which you would also need a custom anti slip or foam pad for underneath which excepts hardwood floors most PVC slip mates are know to leave a stain on hardwood floors. Anyway I am glad I tried these before I spent that kinda of money. In my opinion you pay all that money for great looking hardwood floor and you have to cover it up with a rug just so its funtional. I would much rather have the smooth rolling rubber wheels for cheap, delivered to my house in 2 days like always through AMAZING PRIME. They work great! I’ve had a nice executive chair for years. Scooted, never rolled, from day one. Flooring didn’t matter! Carpet, tile or laminate. I had put it in a seldom used place, but wanted to use it in my craft room, it was way more comfortable than my little task chair. I selected these for the rubber/soft material. Didn’t want to go super cheap, also didn’t want to spend $30 if I could avoid it. My old wheels weren’t too difficult to remove, and the were a breeze to snap them in. Righted the chair, sat down and it rolled! For the first time! I’m very happy with the ease of installation (I’m 66 and didn’t require any muscle from Husband to accomplish this task), the quality of the wheel and of course the smooth rolling of the chair! I would definitely purchase again or refer them to anyone looking for quality at a reasonable price. ... show more

I had one caster break on my office chair and selected these to replace the whole set based on the reasonable price. These casters fit nice and tight and so far are working fine. I give them only 4 stars simply because I don't know how they will hold up in the long run (and it's hard for me to say I "love" chair casters). They certainly appear to be as well made as the originals on my chair and they roll just fine on the plastic carpet protector that the chair sits on. At this point I would recommend them to anyone looking for a decently priced replacement set for broken or loose originals on an office chair. ... show more

I really wish we had put these kind of wheels on our kitchen chairs years ago. Unknowingly, we had put plastic wheels on our kitchen chairs since we had bought our set, over 25 years ago and they had gouged out several ruts in our Pergo floors. Recently we went to Lowe's and one of their staff, while helping us look for replacement wheels, told us we should try rubber wheels since they would work better on our kitchen chairs. Since Lowe's were out of those wheels, we checked out Amazon, and they had these sets. They were so simple to replace on our chairs, and my chair just glides across the floor with no noise or damage to our floor like the old plastic wheels did.     • The bate is cheap but the switch is expensive

The wheels used in-house environment should last more than two years unfortunately this product failed before. I was forgiving when it failed the first time and purchased a second set hoping would last longer but unfortunately It was wrong, both failed under two years of light in-home use. (user 160 pounds) The cause of the problem was the same in both cases. the plastic wheel support structure cracked rendering the wheel useless. Understanding that the wheels are in use/motion maybe only two minutes a day it is obvious the quality is questionable. The price with no doubt is the bait and the switch is when you purchase another set hoping will last longer. I bet the maker knows about the problem but he knows the price bait is strong enough to keep buyers coming and there's no law would forced them to improve the design or take it off the market. My advice is don't buy wheels with plastic housing/support. My formal complaint to the maker/seller was not answered and Amazon in a case like this I was told can do nothing about it. ... show more

Ok first of all let me say , thank goodness this is a product that offers same day delivery . Although I have a rolling chairs for myself and husband in our home offices there is no wear and tear on the hardwood floors. Well my daughters “new classroom desks “ are in my office and at 7 and 8 they must roll and twist all day long because the floor as you can see started to wear. I was hunting for a rubber mat solution and came across the ad. My office is first thing you see coming into the foyer and the spokes woman was head on when she talked about unsightly rubber mats-aside from the fact they are grossly overpriced. For less than 30 dollars I decided to try this option. Yes yes yes these were a breeze to put on —actually my girls chairs are les than 7 months old so the wheels came right off , if you’ve been in your chair for a while you may want to see if they come off first. The new ones are a standard size so a perfect fit. I watched my kids roll and spin all day with confidence no more damage was being done. I recommend to anyone with the hard wood wearing issue , in fact I want to put in clothing rack and anything that rolls on standard castors in my house. I am ordering 3 more sets . Now I just need a couple of spill proof cups and I an a happy mama. ... show more
