  • Love it so much, we got a second one.
Style: 3600 | 3060 Ti
I bought this computer three years ago to replace an old gaming laptop that was starting to lag with newer games. All of my games ran perfectly on the new system. Photo stacking software compiles hundreds of raw images in minutes, Photoshop runs smooth. The only part to wear out was the case fans. The first one was right at the 12 month mark and Skytech replaced it for free without any hassle. I've since added 2 one TB SSD drives in a RAID 1 array to supplement the M.2 drive for all my photo editing. I'm about to update to a 12 core processor and liquid cooling system, and there is plenty of room, easy access, cable management, and more compatibility than I expected. I have had computers from old monochrome hand-me-downs, store bought desktops, custom built desktops, and special order laptops and this computer has been the best looking, easiest to upgrade, and most satisfying PC I have ever owned. If you want a great computer without all the bloatware of an HP, the power and aesthetics of a gaming computer, and you don't want to spend dozens of hours making sure all the components are compatible and optimized, buy a Skytech prebuilt, and you'll be enjoying it long before you get all the cables and adaptors sorted out on a home built system. ... show more

  • Good News & Bad News.
Style: 3600 | 3060 Ti
Well, 1 month after receiving my pc it's time to share my thoughts. Good news first. The pc was scheduled to arrive Sept. 20 at the earliest. It showed up 4 days early, packed like they were shipping a museum quality artifact. I read a few reviews that complained about the assembly. This one was put together so tight you'd think it was welded. I read a few reviews that were critical of the components used in the build. Mine came with an EVGA 3060ti gpu, an ASrock 550 motherboard with 4 ram slots, an MSI 1 Terrabyte nvme2 ssd, & 2 8G Gammix XPG 3200 ddr4 ram sticks that are 200 meg above what was specified. All these components are well thought of . 1 or 2 reviews were critical of the set-up, but when I went into the motherboard bios I found the ram & gpu had both been slightly overclocked, as opposed to being left underpowered. The EVGA comes overclocked as it is, but bumping the ram to 3600 meg was a nice touch, as it's the sweet spot for AMD cpu's. A few people were critical of the case & fan set-up, but they're just wrong. The fans blowing out the back & top serve to create a vacumm that pulls air in from the front slot & bottom mesh which is more than enough. Besides, if you count the gpu & psu, this case has a total of 8 fans in it. I live in Florida without ac & this case is still an icebox. Some folks complained about not being able to find the rgb settings in the motherboard. Skytech must have heard this because my screen has an icon the size of a quarter on the left side. Playing with the lights is fun, but the outside switch would've been fine. A few folks said support was hard to get ahold of. I guess Skytech heard this too 'cause my screen also has 2 icons dedicated to contacting them. 1 via e-mail &1 for live support. I haven't used them yet, tho'. Performance? This thing is a beast. I game on a 50" 4K tv with a 60 hz refresh rate. That means the best framerate I can get is 60 fps. This pc can do that standing on it's head at the most demanding settings I can throw at it. I don't see myself needing to upgrade for a long time. ( Tho' I might bump up to 32 G of ram if I find the matching sticks.) Naturally, build qualities will vary, mistakes will be made & shipping accidents will happen. Buying by mail has risks after all. But my advice is look at the overwhelming amount of positive reviews & relax. This is a great product that by & large performs better than advertised. So what's the bad news? In the month I've had it, the price of this pc has gone up by a hundred bucks. At $1549.00 this machine was way ahead of the pack in terms of value. At $1649.00, that gap is smaller. It's worth noting that the same machine is being sold & shipped by Amazon for $50.00 less as opposed to buying direct from Skytech as I did. Will this affect the set-up or build quality? No clue, but as of right now, Oct.16th, the biggest bargain on this page is the model with the Ryzen 7 3700X cpu with water cooling for $30.00 more. Either way, these machines will make you happy. Worrying will not. ... show more

  • Bang for the buck
Style: 3600 | 3060 Ti
I went for the Skytech Shadow 3.0 (Ryzen 5 3600 Geforce RTX 3060 Ti) - Great price, especially considering that the top-end GPU's are all currently out of stock. I have received the BIOSTAR B450MH motherboard (only two DDR4 slots that I am not so thrilled about), 16GB OLOY DDR4 (3000mhz), 1TB Western Digital BLUE NVMe, PCIe Wifi card and the MSI Geforce 3060 Ti 8GB. I also bought the ASUS TUF 144Hz 1ms IPS Gaming Monitor to round things off. The few games I have installed on this PC (such as Fortnite, Dauntless and Plague Tale) runs well above 100FPS with ultra-high settings; resulting into an awesome gaming experience in terms of refresh rates/response times with G-Sync technology - Zero lag. I have to say that the build is clean with great wiring, all nicely tucked in. The case looks great, especially with the RGB colors that can be customized. So far, I am very pleased – Thanks Skytech! Cheers ... show more

  • Good performance, could’ve been cheaper
Style: 3600 | 3060 Ti
It was decent, I got around 300-400 fps average on Minecraft without optifine and 400-450 with optifine. When I look into the sky I get around 1200. It was kind of loud but it was good quality fans. I tried “building” this pc myself by picking out the exact parts and found out it was cheaper by 100 dollars. I would go for this if your not a tech expert. ... show more
