  • Great price for a great product from a great company.
I was in the market for a gaming PC for a good while, debating on whether I should build my own or buy a prebuilt. Initially I was dead set on building my first gaming PC, and I did all of the research and found all of the parts I wanted on line for the best price. I believe the overall price for the part were around $1000 or so, and that doesn't count any warranty because I was the one building it (this is important for later.) Prior to making the investment in all of the individual part I took one last tour across the internet to see if a prebuilt could beat my build in pricing and power. Low and behold I stumbled across SkyTech gaming and their Legacy Mini. Obviously, you can see that it was the better deal because I purchased it about a month ago. Now I've had ample time with the product to be able to review it and spoiler; its pretty great. The Legacy Mini is a microATX PC build. In short terms it means the PC is on the smaller side compared to the norm. All of the parts that are in the PC are as SkyTech advertised above and the build quality is well. I believe the parts were very well chosen for the price of the overall unit. It's essentially the same build I had planned out except with a different case and power supply. Using PC part picker, an online website that allows one to build and price a PC build all together, this build to the teeth cost $1077.76 and I believe I used a cheaper power supply and RAM. This goes to show that the price is worth it versus other alternatives. Also I could not find another company that was willing to sell a 1660 ti build similar to this cheaper than SkyTech. Before I go on about my experience with using the unit, I want to add that a PC building YouTuber named ScatterVolt recently released a video titled "Top 5 Pre-Built Gaming PCs for the Holidays! ($500-$2000)." Among those 5 gaming PCs SkyTech produced 3 of them. Here is a summary of my experience with the unit. I am a college student who has a passion for gaming. I have always played games on an Xbox product and dreamed of switching to PC one day. So this gaming PC is my first and I would not have had it any other way. The unit shipped and arrived exactly when it was said to. Out of the box everything was nice and packaged. Pieces were kept safe from damage over the shipping period. Setup was smooth as can be, SkyTech includes a mouse and keyboard with each unit sold so no need to worry about those peripherals on day one. Boot up was smooth and easy everything started great and the unit itself lit up like an early Christmas decoration. The PC comes with most of the necessities already installed and ready to use (Chrome, Furmark, Geoforce Experience, etc.) It's fast, responsive, and does it all. I set up my Steam and Uplay accounts and very shortly began playing Rainbow Six Siege (my personal game of choice.) Rainbow Six Siege can run around 140 FPS in 1080p at high settings for me. The unit was able to shatter my expectation with the quality of the game. The benchmarks that SkyTech listed for the unit were very accurate. I tried PUBG as well and it performed just as advertised, which is fantastic. The RGB fans are just an addition that make the PC feel more customized and they work flawlessly and beautifully. One last note I want to add is in regard to the PCs ability to be upgraded. Simply it can and it can very easily. Not even a week after purchasing I installed a 2TB harddrive with ease. Eventually I'll upgrade the 16GB of RAM from 2400 hz to 3200hz which again is a very easy process. The case that was chosen for this build makes it rather easy to access all of the parts and interchange them for new ones. I do not believe I will need to purchase or build any other PC from this point forward, which is fantastic. In summation, I have had the unit for more than a month and have used it almost everyday whether it was for school work, gaming, or streaming TV. I have not had a single issue with the unit. The CPU temperature even under stress has yet to exceed 70 degrees Celsius, which is great for a PC with air cooling. Overall I believe this PC and likely other PCs that SkyTech produces are fantastic products built with passion for people with a passion. If you are looking for a well built machine, whether its your first gaming PC or not, SkyTech has you covered. It's really not rocket science. ... show more

  • This is a pretty nice build for its price.
This was my first time ordering a pre-built computer online, so I was very nervous when I bought this. It arrived a day earlier than expected and I was excited to open the box. It came in nicely packed and you can tell that they didn't cut any corners with keeping the computer safe throughout shipping; the rig was packed with styrofoam and a couple of expanding styros in the box giving it a snug fit, and the inside of the PC was also packed with the expanding styro. The tower came in with the specs listed on the product page (except for the brands); a Ryzen 1700 CPU, a Zotac GTX 1660Ti GPU, Two Ballistix 8GB DDR4 RAM running in a dual-channel config, an ASROCK B450M/ac Motherboard, and some 500GB SSD (I couldn't confirm what brand it was because it was covered with the Skytech Gaming sticker). The PSU was an ENERMAX Revolution Duo, which has a Gold 80Plus rating (or so they claim). All of this encased inside an InWin 301 case (I was kinda disappointed, because one of the other reviews on here had a 301c which is a tad bit cooler :( ), with very clean cable management. The mouse and keyboard that came with the rig was pretty okay. A fully lit, tactile-feeling, membrane keyboard with an aluminum back and a gaming mouse which was also lit. The keyboard had a nice build, with very little flex (thanks to the aluminum back), keys that weren't mushy, and had braided cables. The mouse on the other hand just felt like any cheap gaming mouse; it featured two thumb buttons for your gaming thumb needs and a button that changes the DPI from normal, to fast, to very fast, then to very slow—overall nothing much to say about the mouse. After checking the specs of the PC , booting up into Windows didn't take long because, well, SSD—and looking around, it came up clean. There were no bloatwares of any sort, though there were some benchmarking softwares left over (may or may not be intended by whoever built it?) and also an Asrock RGB software. Google Chrome was pre-installed and that's all. Windows just needed a single update to catch up with the latest version and I was good to go. Now on to gaming. With a Ryzen 7 1700 CPU and a GTX 1660Ti, it's no surprise that it can easily play any AAA games with respectably high settings on 1080P, and still have a fairly high FPS. I have played Apex Legends, GTA V, Destiny 2, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Resident Evil 2 Remake all on max and got frames way above 60 with very little dips. Also, with the motherboard's built-in wifi, it wasn't much of a problem playing online. If you're planning on playing VR with this computer, that's also not a problem with this rig, as the GTX 1660 Ti is also VR Ready. Now the verdict, also a TL;DR. For the price it's listed on here, it's not bad. If you're looking for a gaming PC, but don't want to spend too much on it and/or you're too lazy to build your own computer, I would highly recommend this pre-built computer from Skytech Gaming. It's got good enough hardware to handle anything you throw at it, except actually, physically, throwing things at it—all for the fair price. Also it's got RGB fans and a beautiful case, if you're all for the aesthetics in making it your room's new show piece. ... show more

  • BUDGET? BUY THIS.
So I did some shopping for about two weeks. I knew that I did not have the patience nor the energy to build my own rig. Low and behold I came across this product. Initially I was a bit skeptic. I am very limited on my gaming pc manufacturers, so I did a lot of research. I wanted something that was cheaper but could handle what I game when I game and this rig has done it flawlessly. I knew I wanted a SSD and 500gb would be totally fine because I have a 1TB external that I use a lot. In terms of the processor, SSD and graphics card: I really enjoy it. I really only raid and pvp on WoW and use it for school and whatever else is needed. It works great in processing multiple applications and windows. Startup time is amazing it’s so quick. Presence: I love it. What no one has mentioned so far that if you get the C version, you get a remote and can actually change the colors on the inside between the RBG, R, B, G and white! It has multiple functions and fan speeds if you really need it. Overall: I would definitely buy this again. If you’re on the fence between this and something else, get this. It’s cheaper, it’s quality and really best bang for your buck. I’m not well versed on the exact specifications but I have had 0 problems/issues with this PC. ... show more
