  • Excellent Budget PC
I've been building my own PCs since the days of i386's with math co-processors, so it was not an easy decision to buy a pre-built. My aging 2016 build of an AMD FX with a 960ti was not cutting the mustard anymore, so I started shopping and found the StarTech Blaze II. Having priced out a similar part list at Microcenter for $1800, it was a no-brainer money-wise to purchase this at a sub $900 price point. I figured I could at least use the parts for a budget build if it came in awful, but boy was I pleased with the purchase! Build came equipped with an AIO water cooler for the CPU, which was not listed in the specs and was a nice bonus. All components were of a decent quality and build, including a WD blue NVME drive, MSI pro 560 Wifi mobo, ThermalTake 600W PS and an EVGA 1660 6GB. Runs anything I throw at it on high to ultra settings, and is lightning fast as a productivity PC. Quiet as well, the AIO cooler really keeps it at a low level, which is nice for people like me that don't like headphones. Not a lot of room for upgrades. I was able to just barely finagle a 4tb storage drive in the open drive slot, and it looks like there's room for a 2.5" drive as well. It was able to accept a Windows 11 upgrade after a BIOS firmware update, so it is capable and runs very well in my limited experience with Win11. Magnetic dust filter is a nice touch, and the included keyboard and mouse aren't too bad, although I can see myself replacing the keyboard due to personal preference. Only one slight con that can be remedied with some YouTube knowledge: The ARGB fan lighting can only be controlled by the panel button on the case. With a bit of cable redirection it can be moved to a software controlled option through the motherboard. ... show more

  • Impressive
I received my Blaze II on Saturday July 30 2022. From Amazons warehouse Goodyear AZ. Since few if any have listed the HW these 'might' be comprised of, here's what mine is made up with. YMMV as these will have differing MB, RAM and video card manuf's parts included. This is what I received. Intel i5-10400F w/Stock Cooler MSi B560M PRO-VDH WIFI (CEC) (Note the CEC has four PCI-e x16. One is x16 electrically, three are x1) MSi GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS XS OC (6GB model) WD Blue SN570 1TB SSD XPG GAMMIX D10 2x8GB DDR4 3200 CL16 16-20-20 Gamdias TALOS E1 Case and Gamdias Helios P1 600G PSU Combo After some fledgling hickups out of the box. I like it. Make sure to go into the BIOS under Security and 'Enable' TPM, else no Windows 11. It is a requirement to updating from Win10 to Win11. Install MSI Center, NOT Dragon Center, and from here install Mystic Light to control the RGB functions. While 'inside' MSI Center now would be as good as time as any to check and update to the latest system drivers(Intel, Realtec, WiFi, Bluetooth etc etc) plus any other drivers presented after letting it scan the system. Then head to nVidia for the latest Gaming or Studio graphic card drivers. Again, the above applie(s)(d) to the components that _I_ received in MY Blaze II and will most likely not be completely applicable to what YOU receive. But I like it. It's snappy and responsive. I consider it a great value. ... show more

  • Great First PC
Great for the price if you play a lot games and will use it, easy set up, nice space, and the specs are good for games that don’t demand that much but it can run great graphics at average around 70 FPS

  • don't waste your $$
Computer constantly has the "blue screen of death", freezes up, restarts randomly, since it arrived from a variety of archaic random reasons. No help from the support site. I've purchased 20 or so computers over the last 20 years as a member of Amazon and this is the only issue I've had to date with a computer. Will not purchase from this group again. ... show more

  • Blaze II
Went with the Blaze 2 with Intel i5 10400F and GTX GeForce 1660, 16GB Ram and 1TB SSD. The specs here state some different things below but for those wondering, ours came with the WD Blue 1TB NVMe SSD and the GeForce GTX 1660 6GB graphics card. PC was built Oct 2021. It was packaged well and everything in place. I tested it and everything works great. Paid a little more with Amazon as expected rather than direct with Skytech but was worth it for the speed of delivery and their ease of return had something gone wrong in shipment. With Christmas almost here this was definitely the way to go. ... show more

  • Highly recommend for first time buyers
The media could not be loaded. I don’t typically write reviews, but since there’s a bunch of one side or the other on computer stuff I thought I’d share. Let me preface the 4 star rating by saying it only gets 4 stars because I believe everything can be improved upon. For example some cable management could be routed a little more clean in some areas. Regardless if you’re looking for the end all be all to play max ultra settings on every single game and be the most RGB guccied out gaming rig on the planet this isn’t it. BUT if you’re looking for a really nice budget starting computer that can be upgraded that also looks really good and performs very well even on Warzone on high settings this is the computer. I wanted to build my own but I’m fairly new to PC stuff so I decided on a prebuilt but heard you can get ripped off. Well I compiled a list of the parts in this thing and on the low end this PC cost $1,015 just in parts and these guys still have to build them to make their money. Considering all that, I say this thing is an extremely good deal. I’ve had it for about 4 days now and I’m really happy with it. It performs pretty well on new AAA games and extremely well on older games like destiny 2, I run max everything on there and it’s able to do it. At minimum 60 fps if tons of things are being rendered in mostly 74-75 fps since my monitor is only a 75hz. All in all if you’re on the fence about this thing I’d say go for it. The only thing I have issue with is I can’t change the speed of the case fans they seem to be max 24/7 but they aren’t very loud so it’s more than alright. Maybe I’m overlooking something but that’s the only thing. I like this thing so far, if I have any issues I’ll definitely be back to update. ... show more
