The media could not be loaded. After looking at all the AirPod clip-case models available on Amazon, I decided to pay a little extra for the one that appeared to be the most protective and durable. I absolutely love this case. There’s not a cheap thin aluminum ring holding the clip, it’s actually clipped to the case structure itself. The material is a thick, rubbery type material that has great grip. It’s wraps around the AirPod case with an air tight and water tight fit. There’s a sealed charge cover flap at the bottom, and the top flaps bend back nicely for full access to opening the case lid. While I had to use 2 hands to pull the top lips down, watch my video to see how easy it is to close them back with one hand... good for while on the go. I recommend this case... pay the extra $15 for something that’s going to last ... I have a hard time convincing myself to skimp around with another cheaper case that is connected with a cheap thin aluminum ring... my $150 AirPods need more security than that. Don’t buy those other pieces of crap. By the way, I’ve read the other reviews about how over time the case gets loose or it’s hard to pull out of your pocket. I wear mine like the picture - clipped to belt loop but tucked into top of pocket. This way don’t have that bouncing and swinging that’s going to loosen the case over time, you don’t have to dig deep in your pocket, and you aren’t going to lose it either. It’s also very easy to access on the go as well. This method works great for me.

This is a great case for Gen 1 AirPods. They are part of my daily outfit and are easily attached to my belt loop or gym bag. The case feels like it protects well and keeps the lid from accidentally opening. 100% recommend this!

AirPods were a splurge purchase for me. There are cheaper Bluetooth options out there, but I bit the bullet and got the expensive Apple option. I’ve had them for about a week and my happiness with my purchase has been tempered a bit by my paranoia about losing them. Here’s what you need to know about AirPods: they’re imminently losable. I have no fear of losing the AirPods themselves. I take them out of my ears and put them immediately inside the case. But the case? The case is small and the white plastic that forms it is smooth and begging to slip out of a pocket. I saw reviewers mention the Catalyst case when I was watching YouTube for AirPods reviews, but I’m a conscientious person and didn’t think I needed a case. And I didn’t think I needed to spend additional money on my AirPods. I was wrong. Just a few days into my ownership l, I bought the Catalyst case. As with the AirPods themselves, there are cheaper options out there, but all of them either had bad reviews or didn’t offer the set of features this case does. The waterproof design is nice. I don’t intend to ever get my AirPods wet, but if the unexpected happens, I’m glad my investment is protected from moisture. The silicone case provides more traction in a pocket, which means the AirPods case is less likely to slip out. It provides a bit of heft tot he AirPods case, too. Again, I think this is a good thing. The carabiner is a nice touch and is perfect for popping on a keychain, backpack, or gym bag. The plug cover that keeps the Catalyst case waterproof is more practical on this application than it is, say, for a cell phone. You likely won’t be charging your AirPods daily, so having the lightning port covered and protected from dust and debris is a good thing. I sprung for the glow-in-the-dark option, which I thought would be handy as I try to find my AirPods on an overnight flight or at the bottom of a backpack or briefcase. This is my first Catalyst product, but I’ve figured out they do glow-in-the-dark really well; it’s one of the things they’re known for. In my opinion, it’s a less stylish option, but the practicality of it won me over. Bottom line: I’m happy with this case. It makes me feel safer when carrying my AirPods case around. I have less reason to worry about my expensive AirPods case slipping away. I recommend it to anyone who shared my paranoia!

I bought this case to use while I'm working outdoors in Hawaii, and now I use it everywhere and for everything. I've tried about a dozen different cases, and this one has it all. Save your money on a bunch of other cheaper ones, and just get this one. a) Glows in the dark, and it's very bright and lasts all night, so they really are easy to spot in dim or dark conditions. b) waterproof! Now, I've never taken them swimming or fallen in water, but I work in the rain a LOT, and water has never gotten in. Yet the case is easy to open and access the airpods. c) The build in carabiner is super useful. Now I can clip my pods to my backpack strap, or my belt or belt loop, so I don't have to dig in my pockets for my airpods, they're just always handy. d) The case material is very grippy, which for me is great. This would also be one of the only potential negatives about this case. Don't plan on sliding it in and out of a pocket, because it's fairly grippy and would pull the pocket inside probably. For me this is a plus. Great case. Had to get one for my wife because she liked mine so much.
