    • You never know how much coffee you will end up with,
I have tried different grind settings, different cup amounts, and I never seem to get the amount of coffee I want. The auto shut off is very short, about 30 minutes. The grinder does work well and is relatively quiet.

    • Great concept to combine the grinding and brewing in one, with good quality and performance.
The Coffee Maker with Built-in Grinder by skyehomo, is an interesting name to go with an interesting product. With its good quality, grinding abilities and strength selection, this is a worthy consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and a few things to consider before buying. I. Quality – It’s a well-made coffee maker that looks and performs good. I’d put the overall quality in the upper-middle level of the quality scale for coffee makers. It appears that the higher cost is more to do with getting two machines in one versus a really high quality maker. II. Performance – This one took me a few tries to get it dialed in. With the different levels of grinding and brew strengths, I had some weak brews to start. I turn it to the strongest settings and then started to reduce the water, until I got to my desired strength. The grinding motor is strong and the brewing sound level is low. The auto off is terrible short at about 30 minutes, leaving me having to turn it back on frequently. The mesh filter is a pain to clean, so I put paper filters on top of the mesh one and it works good. Overall, this is a great idea that functions well, but the short timer alone would make me choose something else. However, if that wouldn’t matter to you, this one could make for a great choice. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.     • Looks good but lacking in function
I was really excited about using this coffee maker but some issues arose while I was using it with my favorite beans: 1. There are 3 strengths you can select for how stong you want your coffee. At first I mistakenly selected the weakest, which basically resulted in brown colored water. But then I switched it to the strongest setting which was a lot better but still not really how I like it. The coffee just tasted "off" for some reason and I couldn't figure out why. 2. The coffee maker was annoying to clean with its built in mesh filter. It would definitely be a more pleasant experience with throw away paper filters, but since they were the cone style that I did not already have, I decided not to mess with it to test since the coffee taste wasn't really that good. 3. The name, Skyehomo. Really? Do people not check this silly stuff? 4. The weight of the machine made it unpleasant to move forward and backward on the counter for when I needed to fill the water or beans or clean the filter. 5. The shape of the pour spout on the carafe made it to where I had to be extra careful when pouring so I wouldn't accidentally spill anything. I prefer the wide mouth carafes where spilling is much more difficult. 6. Seems like an excessive amount of water gets absorbed by the grounds, much more so than my favorite coffee maker. This makes it difficult to make a carafe of a certain number of cups less than 12. Bottom line is I can't really control how many grounds get used in each carafe which results in coffee that is not as strong as I would like. After trying this out extensively, it turns out I much prefer grinding my beans separately before adding to a paper filter in my other (favorite) coffee maker. ... show more

    • The grinder is terrible. Never grinded enough coffee or stuck!
I like that is friendly usage but the grinder sucks. It never ground enough; made very weak coffee! The grinder is always stuck! It's annoying. I want my money back.

A longtime coffee lover, I needed a new coffee maker at home that would do the job reliably and wouldn't break the bank. With this Skyehomo machine, I think I've found both. Not only is this machine nice to look at but it brews quickly and gets the job done. The built-in coffee grinder allows me to enjoy freshly ground coffee, a real plus. The Skyehomo coffee maker arrived double-boxed in its own boxes, and was very well-packed in plenty of foam and cardboard. The very nicely designed stainless steel and black plastic machine is accompanied by a well-written instruction manual, permanent reusable filter, and plastic coffee measure. Just follow the instructions and you will brew a nice cup of coffee. The coffee maker is rather substantial, measuring ~10" L x 7-1/2" W x18" H. It is solid and well-built and stays put on the counter. It has a long, heavy-duty three-prong plug, which is a plus. The covered water reservoir at the rear of the machine holds up to 12 cups, or 1.5 liters, and is easy to fill. There is a clearly marked clear fill window on the right rear of the unit. There is a nice blue backlit easy-to-read LED screen on the front of the machine indicating the time (in 24-hour time), brew strength, and number of cups to brew. Controls are well marked and have blue LEDs. There is a Program button to set the unit to brew when you wake up; a Brew Strength button (mild, medium, strong); Grinder On/Off button; number of cups to brew (between 2-12 in increments of 2); hours/minutes for the clock; in addition to On and Off buttons. To make a pot of coffee, simply add water to the reservoir, add whole beans to the grinder or ground coffee directly to the filter, select your brew strength, number of cups to make, and press the On button. After delivering properly brewed coffee, the machine beeps several times then goes into a keep warm mode for 35 minutes before beeping once more and shutting itself off. The entire appliance is easy to clean and intuitive to operate. The manufacturer offers a one-year warranty on the appliance. My only gripe is that the coffee maker with built-in grinder stands 18" tall, whereas my upper cabinets are 14-1/2" above my counters. Be aware of that when you consider this appliance. Otherwise, the Skyehomo coffee maker is a welcome addition to my kitchen. I award it 5 stars. ... show more
