I use these for cut out on my CNC and love the clean cuts and durability they produce. One bit will cut an average of 20+ sheets of particle board, MDF, Baltic birch plywood. Run at the proper feed and speed of course. Don't run this bit too slow or it will burn and dull quickly.

Guys and Gals...let me help you out. Machine: Onefinity Material: Baltic Birch Material Thickness: 18mm or ≈3/4" Plunge Rate: 50 in/minute Plunge Depth: 20mm! (yes...i'm going 2mm past material thickness so cutting baltic birch as well as 2mm of MDF wasteboard. Cut Feed Rate: 150 in/min (at full material depth of cut0) Finish Pass Feed Rate: 250 in/min (full depth of cut - getting 220 grit sandpaper finish!!!!!) Now that I've posted that.....SpeTool.....you should adopt me :) Seriously this is a great bit and I would highly recommend.

Amazing product so far! I use this bit on my Shapeoko XL and needed a new 1/4” bit for cutting out profiles. As you can see in the picture, this bit was used on the left plaque and my older Amaña 1/4” downcut bit was used on the right plaque. As you can see the difference, if you zoom in, this new bit is far superior to the amana. But the amana bit is older and most likely slightly dull as well as being a downcut only bit. But I’d have to say that I’m very pleased with this “Spetool” compression bit. Perfect bit!

Cut 3/4 inch plywood great on cnc. Smooth top and bottom edges. Can cut faster than I thought it would be able to. 1 pass cutting (@slower speed of course) vs. 6 pass cutting on upcut bit, saved machine time, would recommend

This was my first compression bit, I wanted to try one and decided to give it a go. I love this little bit, I use this for clearing out most of my waste material now over other 1/4" end mills. It leaves a clean finish and has stayed sharp for a few weeks now. I cut a lot of hard maple and pine.

Set one of these compression bits up in my machine to process some nested parts on .765" melamine. Cutting depth is .350" @ 400 ipm for two passes leaving just an onion skin for the last pass. After running one sheet, I noticed edge chips on the top side. Flip them over and it's just as bad. Switched back to an existing tool to finish the remaining 8 boards. Truly disappointed, but certainly not surprised.
