I actually put off shaving my head because the last time I did it a few years ago, I used a regular face razor, and it was a huge pain to keep up with. I've been using the Pitbull Gold PRO GX5 for just over two months now, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the shave or the battery life. I have psoriasis, so I was concerned about it irritating my scalp, but I haven't had any issues at all. It glides smoothly without irritating my skin. I also have pretty coarse hair and shave my head every other day, and it handles it extremely well. One thing I just discovered when I bought replacement blades is that I'd apparently been cleaning the shaver incorrectly the entire time! Replacing the entire head couldn't be simpler. It's nothing like the old Norelco-style face shavers where you had to mess around with replacing individual blades. Honestly, I probably could have gotten another month or more out of the original blades, but I wanted to see how much difference I'd notice with a brand-new OEM replacement. I also like having the original, still-usable head as a spare in case I ever damage or break the new one. After a little over two months of using it every other day, I'm extremely happy with the GX5. If you've been hesitant about shaving your head because you don't want the hassle of maintaining it with a regular razor, this makes the process considerably easier. ... show more

Perfect and easy for daily use to keep your bald head clean-shaven. A clean-shaven bald head makes you look much younger! No friar-tuck look or sparse tops!

I purchased the Pitbull Gold Head Shaver from Amazon on March 31, and unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. For the first few uses, it worked fairly well. It provided a decent shave and was easy to use, but it wasn’t quite as close of a shave as I was hoping for. I still found myself wishing it would leave my head smoother. After only a handful of uses, it developed a very loud, high-pitched squeal. I tried lubricating it with oil as recommended, but that didn’t solve the problem. Another issue I noticed was that if the shaver wasn’t completely dried after use, it would leave rust-colored rings on my bathroom countertop, which was unexpected for a product advertised as waterproof. The final straw came when it accidentally fell about 20 inches from the shower ledge into the shower. The shaving head came apart, and it was surprisingly difficult to reassemble. After that, despite being marketed as waterproof, the shaver began turning on by itself. Eventually, it got stuck in the “on” position and would no longer turn off, making it completely unusable. For the price, I expected much better durability and reliability. It started out promising, but the quality didn’t hold up, and it ultimately ended up in the trash. I recently tried the Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold PRO GX5, and it has completely changed my grooming routine. The first thing I noticed is how easy it is to use.     • Best head shaver I've used so far.
Two shaves in and it has worked great so far! The shave is smooth without pulling hair or leaving bumps or ingrown hairs. The battery meter is a welcome bonus. This is the third electric head shaver I have used, and it is the best one so far. Previously, I used the Remington Balder, which didn’t last long and was poor quality in my opinion; I don't know why it gets such good reviews. I also tried the AxiomWarrior, which was better, but I could no longer find replacement heads, and the coating on the side started to flake after just over a year of use. This one is pretty expensive compared to the others, but I guess you get what you pay for. The price is the only reason I didn't give it five stars, but it does come with a very nice case, a USB cable, and an AC adapter. Highly recommended. ... show more

So far so good used it about three times. It definitely does the job. It’s unique and compact charges pretty quickly. I’m slightly concerned as to how long the shaver will last though. Doesn’t appear to be too cheaply made however it is kind of light so far so good over and out.
