  • Love these Titanium Sets!
Style: Knife, Fork, Spoon
I've used these utensils for many years for camping and travel. They are so light that I keep two sets in my backpack. I like to cook meals on hikes or overnights and can offer decent eating utensils to hiking partners. I keep two sets in my suitcase since I don't like using the disposable plastic ware most often provided in hotel or motel rooms. And, I keep a set in my purse for lunch stops at restaurants or quick stop places where only plastic ware is provided. I recently misplaced my two travel sets while staying in a hotel during a wildfire evacuation where they were used everyday for 35 days. Thank heavens they were already in my suitcase because we only had a short time to evacuate our house. When I noticed they didn't make it home with us in our scramble to pack and leave the hotel, I immediately reordered new replacement sets. ... show more

  • For backpackers who need LIGHT gear!
Style: Knife, Fork, Spoon
PROS: Ring is convenient, attractive material that can be easily cleaned, and RIDICULOUSLY LIGHT WEIGHT, which--if you're going to buy these--is probably the major reason you're doing so. Another great thing about it is that the knife (which you'd think wouldn't be, since it looks like a butterknife) is actually pretty sharp. The spoon works well too; it's not super deep but it's deep enough to be good for eating soup. CONS: Expensive. Kind of flimsy (tines of fork bend easily). They don't nest into one another or anything like that, so I'm afraid they'll get bent/squashed in my pack, but I have no idea how you'd solve that problem without adding extra weight and/or making the silverware shaped funny (knives are flat, spoons and forks are curved; what can you do?). BOTTOM LINE: If you're NOT going backpacking, invest in a similar product that is a little less expensive and little sturdier / feels more like regular silverware, like the "Lexan 3pcs camping utensil set". But, if you're a serious backpacker, and have the money to spare, and are taking weight limits seriously, then splurge on this one. ... show more

  • Light weight and sturdy!
Style: Knife, Fork, Spoon
Used them nonstop 3 times a day for a 14 day road trip. Not a single issue. The knife will cut through 1" thick medium rare quality New York strip with ease. Only gripe is the fiddly karabiner it comes with. Other than that. It's spot on.

  • Great tools for weight savings
Style: Knife, Fork, Spoon
If your planning to go on a good hike and need a full set of flatware, this is a great product. The reason I pulled a star is due to the hard anodized finish. It has a weird texture and when used in conjunction with ceramic coffee cups it just really feels weird... like nails on a chalkboard weird. I would like to see a different type of finish. ... show more

  • Very Light Weight
Style: Knife, Fork, Spoon
We bought two of these sets to lighten our load when camping. We really like these Sea To Summit Alpha Light Utensils . We wanted "full size" utensils without the weight. We have used them 6 or seven times and the coating on the outside is starting to wear some. I contribute this to normal wear and tear. Other than that, these have been a great addition to our camp kitchen. ... show more

  • My friends were impressed
Style: Knife, Fork, Spoon
Ordering this product was a little confusing because the images are not 100% consistent with the product, but I did my research on the REAL Sea to Summit website to ensure I was buying the product I wanted. Minus that hassle, the actual Alpha Utensil Set was PERFECT. They're ridiculously light, they feel strong and rugged, and... what else could you want? Friends of mine who were not coming on the trip were a little jealous and wanted to buy a set themselves... ... show more
