I've been using this regularly since I purchased it about 4 weeks ago, and I'm loving it. I've owned a WORX corded blower for years, and the new SKIL cordless unit was intended for quick tidy-up jobs. I never expected it to have completely replaced the WORX, but it has. The freedom of not having to deal with a 100 ft power cord is amazing. I can easily clean up leaves, debris, crass cuttings, etc, front and back of the house on a single charge (standard 2.5 Amp Hour battery). Time will tell with fall leaf cleanup, but so far so very good. I determined that the way to maximize the battery time is to use the unit's "cruise control" to set the blower to the LOWEST speed that won't cut out if I should press the trigger, then avoid pressing the trigger unless I need a "power blast" on something stubborn. That still gives plenty of power for most clean up jobs. If you find your battery doesn't last near as long, try this trick, and avoid pressing the trigger to its maximum. Remember, more blower power delivery means faster battery depletion. Works a treat for me. Oh, and the battery recharges from almost empty to full in about an hour. ... show more

Light weight. Powerful. Battery life could be better. I bought 2 extra battery's. They are like $97.00 a piece. Not cheap. Overall it is a good product.

    • Good for blowing off flat surfaces. Battery lasts about 20 minutes.

It is strong enough to blow material off flat surfaces such as a garage, deck or driveway. Not strong enough to blow leaves, but it does well for the price and that is all that I needed to do. It is very easy to use and the trigger has two settings. Pull back partway and it is one speed and pull back all the way for a power boost which is where you have to do most of the work. Purchase in the fall of 2021. Our hopes wee that it wasn't a dud and it would blow 10-15 minutes without dying. It is holding up well. Blowing power is very acceptable, battery time is very good and recharge time is 30 minutes or less. In warmer weather 70's the battery will last 30 min or so. In colder weather (40's) the times reduced to around 15-20 min. but very acceptable for a battery powered blower. WOUL DEFINATELY BUY AGAIN AND HAVE RECOMMENDED TO MANY. ... show more

in short bursts, it does the job'; powerful and light weight. It is light enough such that by the time the battery dies, your arms are not crying! Maybe it's the perfect combo :-) All-in-all, I love it at this price point.

It has decent power, but: 1. Battery life is poor. 2. Not ergonomic. Balance is poor, making it clumsy to use. It seems like Skil gave higher priority to its Transformer-like appearance. 3. This is an especially egregious example of Chinese-manufactured plastic outgassing noxious chemicals. You will not want to be around this tool or its packaging indoors.
