This is a powerful little sander. It's easy to use and does the work much more quickly than by hand. I was worried that it might be high pitched and really loud but it's not. You can get a good comfortable grip to it and it's great for small projects or the smaller spaces in large projects. It seems very well made but I can't speak to durability. I had to return it after a short time because I have a vascular problem in my hands (Raynaud's phenomenon) and unfortunately it irritated my circulation. I was hesitant about buying a cheaper sander instead of a DaWalt or another more expensive brand. I'm so gland I went with SKIL though! It works great and I love the attachments that come with it. I've been working on refinishing a chair for far too long now. Gave up on chemical strippers ever really doing the job, and started sanding. Discovered quickly that my old orbital sander couldn't get into all of the tiny places I wanted to, especially on rounded legs, etc. This mouse sander is incredibly versatile, and does a great job of reaching (most of) those tiny spots. There are still some edges and joints I will have to do by hand, but generally speaking it is a great little tool. The biggest cons: 1) the instructions are not 100% clear on how to change out the various base plates/tools for varying the sandpaper size/reach. 2) Some of the adapters/tools don't really do squat. 3) And this is not fault of this tool, but a fault of Amazon: one of the sand paper sets they recommend to go with this sander do not cover 100% of the tool's underside - the paper is too small. So beware what paper you order to go with this if you get it. ... show more
