After many hours of research and comparison, I bought the SKIDEE X3M Foldable Scooter with 8 inch wheels and anti-shock for my tall son's 10th birthday gift. It fits him on both the lowest and second lowest (of 4) handlebar height settings. The Foldable Scooter has excellent handlebar grips, is well built, and folds and unfolds very well. We have rough (asphalt) sidewalks in our neighborhood, so the shock absorbers are a top priority. It's important to know that the scooter will sink down when you first step on it, so this takes some getting used to (especially if you've been riding a shockless scooter). However, once you're on the deck, it stays compressed and stable. Speaking of the deck, this scooter has a nice, large one that is 13 1/2" long by 5 3/8" wide. This is larger than most, and allows the rider to comfortably stand with both feet side by side when coasting. Also, the handlebar height adjustment range is excellent, allowing people to grow into this scooter (I'm 6', and it fit's me fine). The kickstand works well, too. The SKIDEE also has a great clamping system for the handlebars, the handlebar riser tube, and the folding hinge. After adjusting each of these clamps with the provided tool (making them pretty snug), there isn't any rattling. This stability is worth the slight increase in weight. I do recommend tightening all the fasteners before your first ride, and checking them periodically to see if any have become loose. The brake also appears thoughtfully designed. It is on the longer side, which covers the wheel better. It also includes a rear reflector. The scooter comes with a carry strap, and it has built-in loops to fasten this strap (rather than having to add on separate strap holders). SKIDEE offers a free scooter carry bag (offer information inside the box) if you send them a picture of someone riding the scooter posted on social media. too. The one possible drawback to the scooter's design is the handlebars are narrow, at 15 1/2" (many competitors are ~17"). This reduces the leverage a rider has turning the scooter, but it's not a deal-breaker. Overall, the build quality looks very good. The edges of some of the metal could be a wee bit more polished, yet this isn't a high-end bike so I wasn't expecting perfection. The reason I rated this scooter 4 stars (instead of 5) is because there are a few scratches on the black paint that shouldn't be there. The packaging appears to be designed to prevent this, yet somewhere in the process the scooter got scratched. It will be easy enough to touch it up, but it should have been pristine out of the box. Overall, I recommend the SKIDEE Foldable Scooter with 8 inch wheels and Anti-Shock Suspension. It offers the best balance of quality, adjustability, features and sizing for our needs that I could find. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for my 8 year old daughter and it's absolutely perfect! I was slightly surprised at how amazing the quality was because it was on sale when I bought it. I'm glad I went ahead and bought it for Christmas. I included a short video of the handlebar situation. The instructions doesn't tell you to remove the screws or anything, so hopefully it's slightly helpful. Just in case, you're going to open the T section of the handle first. Next you're going to unscrew the 2 screws with the tool that came with the scooter. *I don't know the name of the tool. Make sure you have the scooter lying down, because the other pieces may instantly fall out everywhere. *This happened to me. Once the pieces are all out, you'll remove the plastic piece by pulling or pushing it out. Then you're going to put it back together with the tool you removed it with. Now you can put the handlebars in and adjust the tightness with that same tool. I don't know how to explain things, so I'm sorry in advance 🥲. Enjoy and happy holidays! ... show more

It’s really difficult reading specs on so many scooters available without seeing them in person. So here’s my review- We purchased 2 of these. 1 for our 5ft 9 , 13 year old girl, that wears a size 10 in woman’s shoe. Yes, she’s a giant ( I’m her mom rocking 6ft 2) . This scooter goes tall enough for her to use, but also low enough for my 8 year old 4 ft 10 daughter in a size 6 women’s shoe.... My question is always about board length and width. It’s not very long, but doable. Harder for the 13 year old to get both feet on. I would buy it again! The fold up option with carry strap is super cool, and they can take them to grandmas house or to a park in a small trunk. They love them and they’ve held up the last few weeks. Having the headache of buying a two wheeler scooter for my 7 year old daughter as an upgrade from her three wheeler was no walk in the park especially with all the available choices to pick from. I went with SKIDEE X3M due to it's easy to use features and dual shock absorbers also note mentioning was the cute white/pink color combo that my daughter really loved. We had an issue with the front wheel guard and I reached out to customer service who responded within hours and sent a replacement to solve the issue. I'm pretty sure it's a solid product since I haven't used the item long enough to review, but from a customer service standpoint alone I'm super delighted to have bought this product from them.     • Really fun for adults kids!
I'm 45 and I bought this as a gift for someone else, but when I saw it I just decided that I will leave it for myself! I'm glad I did because my stunted childhood dreams came true! It's been cold and rainy here but I've been riding this baby around my house and it's every bit as fun as I hoped it would be. I cannot wait to get outside with it! It's very sturdy and the second height level is perfect for my 5'7 frame. Folding is super easy to fold and unfold. Testing the brake inside at low speed, it seems really responsive. The little kickstand is awesome because at my age I'm just so above dumping my scooter on its side in the grass. I'm not planning on doing any rad tricks, and I'm not into getting tiny wheels stuck in cracks, so the larger wheels on this are fabulous because they give such a smooth ride. I'm mostly looking forward to embarrassing my youngest son as I ride around the neighborhood on my super cool scooter. ... show more
