The zvx is slightly taller and its magnet is also a slight wider other than the evl. personally I like how these subwoofers look... these are truly little monster right here ! Price and quality can't beat it ! Running the zvx on power acoustic 2500 at about 750-850at 1 ohm more than enough for this little hammer ! ... show more

This thing is bad to the bone! Hits super hard and clean. Was an awesome upgrade for the 8 inch skar bass tube. Just have to flip it around for it to fit. Looks great , VERY HEAVY and powerful magnet.

I am an individual that tries to use the very best and I decided to install 8" subs in my new car. The Sundown were over 300/sub while Skar was around 160/sub. Figured I try them out and please understand it's simply my opinion but, I'm hitting these with a constant 1500+ Watts and they were so worth the gamble. For the price, it seems like you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. Unfortunately, you'll need to fork up the money for the enclosure and the power for this to really perform. Based off many YouTube reviews, I went with a bandpass enclosure tuned to around 38 Hz, close to the 40 Hz fs. For less power and moving more air volume I can pick up the cheapest 12" Kicker Comp. The enclosure requirement would be about the same. You're not saving space with this 8" because of enclosure requirements. In the end, I made an enclosure with some old shelves I had lying around.
