I bought the VXF-12 D4 12" 3000 Watt Max Power Dual 4 and power it with a 1500watt kicker comp amp and it works really nice. Couldn’t believe how heavy it was out of the box. Definitely quality I wish I bought this before I bought two boss phantoms and blew them within a few weeks but this sub is much higher quality. ... show more

First off I'm not into SPL or running contest, burping or impressing anyone I'm am strictly a SQ kinda guy. I'm 49 years old and rocked out in the 80s with Orion and Alpine and still listen to hair bands today. I have a 99 Z28 and the hatch space is extremely limited so I had to build my sub box special that contours to the shape of the back hatch to get enough air space and I ended up with around 1.30 Cu Ft^3 per sub .These subs call for 1.25 - 1.50 cu Ft^3 per sub for a sealed enclosure like what I'm running and let me tell you these subs kick hard! I also ended up lining my box with sheets of Poly-fil and then lightly packed loose poly-fil in the box and it really made the punch solid. I have 2-12" 4 ohm dual VC running at 1 ohm on my Orion XTR2500.1DZ and the birth sheet shows the amp puts out 2974 watts at 12.6V which is outstanding. If you watch Big DWiz video on this amp at 14.6 V it's putting out I think around 3700 watts if I remember correctly and that's what i'm running at in my car and these subs soak it up and can take more, I think mainly though because i'm running a sealed enclosure they can take extra. When you listen to punchy songs it feels like someone sitting behind you punching you in the back and even in a sealed box they get really low as well, around 34 HZ you're nose hair will drive you crazy just say'in but it's just not as loud as a ported box would be but a heck of a lot cleaner if you're into quality as I am. I currently have a little cheap 4 channel dual amp running 4 - 6.5" Kicker KS series speakers for mids and highs but I am currently in the process of upgrading to an Orion XTR 500.4 that is sold here on amazon as well. These subs are extremely heavy and comes in around 50 lbs each I think and they ship to you in s solid box that's meant to take abuse if it happens to come across. Buy these subs you won't regret it, I will be buying two more for my jeep build this fall. ... show more

Running a pair of these on a Orion xtr2500.1dz in a 1:1 fourth. Almost broken in, waiting to run at normal setting. Used deck screws into 1.5 inch baffling. They are pretty heavy. Be sure to secure them good. These subs get low! I am pleased!

It's plastic, doest shake everything down like the 2400w 12's box on a 1200 watt amp with 0/1 Gauge power and ground on a 10F capacitor. Maybe I'll upgrade my capacitor? I have mixed feelings

This is a really good quality sub. Hits lows like nothing I've ever heard and moves so much air. My only complaint is that the push terminals are flimsy and cheap. Although they are big enough to accept 4 gauge, the bolt that goes up to hook on the tinsel leads is tiny. I bumped my sub against the wall of my trunk and that bolt snapped like a twig. I ordered new terminals and they are basically impossible to put on. Theres no room for your hands to even put the nut and lock washer on. The spider comes up way past the ridge that the terminals screw into and the ring terminal that comes off the tinsel leads is always in the way. Long story short, its an awesome sub, but be careful around the terminals. If you break them off it's virtually impossible to fix unless you recone or get direct leads. ... show more
