Skar Audio has completely redefined the definition of a subwoofer designed for low end frequency response with the 8" VVX-8v3. The VVX-8v3 is designed to sound very musical while having the capability to handle the low frequencies exceptionally well, due in part to it's competition grade paper cone and high quality rubber butyl surround. Furthermore, the VVX-8v3 is a monster 8" Subwoofer; featuring a massive triple stack motor assembly and a high temperature 2" copper voice coil, which allow it to play very efficiently at high levels of power over extended periods of time. Make no mistake in judging the size of this subwoofer.

So I have to say, these woofers are absolutely AMAZING. I have had probably over 20 different car audio systems, everything from top end Kicker, Alpine, Fosgate, competition Audiopipe, Orion, and so much more, and these have to be some of the most impressive woofers yet! For their size (my first pair of 8s ever) they are unbeatable without spending $150-$200+ the magnet structure alone beats most 12” subs on the market. The basket is VERY well made, no stamped cheap crap. The spiders are really nice, woven tinsel leads, great surround (stitched and glued!) just overall, amazing. And of course, because it’s skar Audio, they are well underrated. I’m pushing about 500w+ a piece to each (clean power) and they sound and feel like most 10s and even some 12s that I’ve had. Hands down the most amazing sub for the price! 👍👍👍 I don’t have a single complaint. I have been following Skar Audio now for a couple years and they are really bringing in great products for absolutely insane prices! I just got a 1,000w RMS amp from them for $130 and it is NASTY! Even has a clipping light built into the amp!!! Seriously?! Skar Audio is hands down my favorite brand now! BUY THEM! You won’t be sorry!!!

Skar audio has really impressed me. As for subwoofers if Murphy law applied to subwoofers this company nailed it.. They compare easily to high subwoofer. As for sound quality they pound. And hit hard and punchy. There sales team is amazing I told the service rep The exact amplifier and I specified the exact ohm that I intend to wire at and they immediately responded within 10 minutes with the exact subwoofers I should purchase. Since I listen to alot of heavy metal EBM etc. And rap they found me these 8inch subwoofers. For sound testing I run a song that has double bass at 260BPM and it was absolutely brutal. Door trim falling off mirrors buzzing LOUD AS HELL AND DIDNT MISS A SINGLE BASS HIT 10/10

I do not have a single con. Power handling and frequency response is unmatched for this pricepoint. Great all around sub as it can produce ample low frequency and great higher frequency. These are much punchier than 10'', 12'', or 15'' and I prefer them for their ability to save trunk space and play fast punchy techno beats, fast double bass rock, and even rap. Paired with the right enclosure, amp and wires these subs will not disappoint. I am using two of these VVX-8v3 @ 2ohms in a pre-built enclosure (ASC Dual 8" Subwoofer Universal Slot Vented Port Sub Box Speaker Enclosure) 12ga speaker wire, 1000w rms amp (500rmsx2 @ 2 ohms), 3 farad cap, and 4ga power wire.

Okay so I have never owned a pair of eights when I saw these I remember that someone had recommended come to me so I decided to buy 2 usually when I put music in my car I usually go with a bigger speaker like about a 12 inch but when I received these two 8in speakers and put them in oh my God I can really say that they sound so good I actually recommend these over 12 the sound quality is very nice I have them in my 2015 Nissan Quest and they sound perfect

*UPDATE I NOW HAVE 2 OF THESE BAD WOMEN! Two of these 8s hit on par with my homies two sundown zv5 12s at a quarter of the power! Same 1.8^ft box. Just added additional cutout for the second twin. ...upgraded the amp to a skar lpv2-1000.1 (only monoblock by skar with dual terminals) running them on the separate channels parallel to 2ohm. First night with It I love it. And it hits harder than my pioneer champion ts2502 10 on the same amp. And the 10 was in a pioneer spec built ported box. For this VVX8V3d4 I have a 1.8^3ft. Box tuned at 36.3hz wired parallel to 2ohm box rise at about 2.1 ohm and it BEATS. Off of a measly BOSS 4000 watt amp. Which upon watching big Dwiz amp dyno only clocks about 940-980 peak at 2ohm if that at.. Head unit is a kenwood kdc3000 and vehicle is 98 prelude.

I've owned this for 6+ months. The magnet is huge and the cone and surround are impressively well build. It has really opened up after a bit of a break in and sounds very full for such a small sub. I'm running a 500w Alpine monoblock to it, and on particularly bassy songs I have noticed a warm smell. Gain is set pretty well for most types of music but I suppose I could back it down a touch to ensure long speaker life. I kept reading about the underrated nature of this sub. After owning it I would say it handles the power they claim it handles. I would recommend this sub to a friend.

I purchased this thing for my daughters car and wow. I’m so impressed I’m thinking of running 4 of the 900rms 8” skars under the backseat of my pickup. Honestly 4 of these will do the trick but I just have to go the extra mile for my ego. But yeah got this little beast and put it in a bass tube and the bass roll off is so smooth. Not obnoxiously loud but perfect enough to not completely over power your kids and highs. Well balanced.
