I started off with this shallow, OEM style box. I’m a little older and have a baby now so wasn’t going for the loud bass. I was happy for a day or two but I wanted more. Upgraded from 8 gauge to 4awg power/ground and a 150amp fuse and swapped the VD-10 for this thing. Not much difference, it was very underwhelming in that small box, even though the specs with within range. I decided to get a ported SKAR box made just for this sub and holy crap what a HUGE difference. It sounded like a $1000 difference in sound quality, I mean this thing quakes, it sounds great at low volumes. I have the low pass set to just under 240hz to get the mids coming through too and it just sounds like a concert in my 2020 CRV dad-mobile lol. I turn the bass down when the baby is in the car but when he’s not I like to crank it. Sounds amazing with everything from Heavy Metal, Country, Pop, Rap, whatever. I have 4, 10in skar svr proper box, ported to 34htz. I am running the stetsom valcan 5000 watt amp Dyno at 5600rms. I have my gain set to right before the clipping lights up. They barely get warm when touching the dust cap. I did not do any kind of brake in either, I put them in the box and have been beating them for very long time. Never a issue. 2020 Silverado crew cab, the bass is violent to the point it gets hard tom see straight, nose tickles, and hard to breath. I highly recommend the svr series sub they are by far best bang for your buck ... show more

Right out the box and put I a skar prefab box....damn man they are niiice! Can’t believe the sound for the price!!! I have them running at 1200 rms for 2 10s. It’s only been hours so I can’t state durability but for $125???? No brainer. I’ve been running a 12w7 ported and wanted to try something different. They aren’t as boomy and maybaound better. I can’t believe I’m sayinv that due to 12w7 rep. Def not worth the money. These lil 10s bang and sound damn good doing it. This is my 3rd skar sub stage and the 2 others were sweet as well. Ok so I bought this in conjunction with a hifonics 1800 watt amp. I have this single sub in the very back of my 2011 Ford E150 passenger van and it shakes you hard. I have gotten so many compliments and what ups while driving. My best friend and my sister both have bought this sub and are having me install it for them. I parallel wired it down to 1 ohm and put the mono D amp on this bad boy and it's genuinely one of the best sounding subs I've purchased. I will warn you that this sub will break a crappy box. I had to replace the 50 dollar box I got for the q power armoured ported box. I mean this thing hits so hard it broke the box housing it! What more can you say?! Just get it and tell me I'm wrong. But you won't cause I'm not. ... show more
