Description

Skar Audio introduces the SDR-3X8D2 triple 8-inch loaded vented subwoofer enclosure for those seeking extreme bass output in their car audio system but who are limited by space in their vehicle. Featuring three of the Skar Audio SDR-8 700 Watt dual 2-ohm subwoofers, this 2, 100 Watt max power loaded enclosure was engineered to get loud and low. Achieve head turning levels of bass output with this loaded enclosure and let size and space limitations be a thing of the past. The three dual 2-ohm subwoofers come pre-loaded and wired up inside of this custom triple 8" ported enclosure with a final impedance load of 1. 33-ohms to a single speaker terminal cup located on the backside of the enclosure. This competition grade ported enclosure was designed for ultra responsive, low end frequency response, with all three drivers utilizing a single large shared chamber that shares two advanced slot ports located on opposites sides of the rear of the enclosure. We engineer our products to not only sound great, but to stand the test of time - which is why we construct this enclosure out of only the finest grade medium density fiberboard (MDF). Furthermore, the craftsmanship and build quality of this enclosure are world class and exemplified top to bottom. One such example of this being a double front baffle for enhanced strength that also doubles as a design enhancement allowing the subwoofers to be mounted with a flush finish. Finally, the loaded enclosure is finished in a premium black carpeting that features the Skar Audio logo centered across the top surface of the box. I have this in a convertible coupe which is horrible for bass and this little box sounds amazing in my car, even with the top down and windows open! I really like how it looks in my car, too. It's size is great as well, being that I have this in a convertible coupe the trunk is not big but I still have plenty of space. I have had a lot of different subs in my life time and these triple 8s are pretty good for the price especially if space is a concern. I'm in korea and i had a super small car something similar to a Chevy Sonic hatch and it fit in the rear with plenty of space to spare. sounded amazing too! Only complaint is that the box is tuned kinda high around 50 htz, and I am use to making my own around 32 htz but who cares it was loud and cheap ... show more

I see quite a few ppl saying these don't handle what they are rated for, these ppl don't know much about car audio it seems. These are rated for 2100 watts MAX/Peak power, they are 1050w RMS. And they handle that just fine. My 900w Kenwood amp powers them easily. They have great sound, and a beautiful look. The bass does drop off a bit after 30hz or so. So anyone looking for serious deep digital/electronic bass will want something else. Also, they claim to be rated at 1.33ohm, but when I checked them right out of the box, they were at 1.6ohm. This matters if your amp is dynamic based on the ohm received. Lower means more power from your amp. But now that they've had their break in period, they might be lower. Last thing. I expected the logo to be cheap paint or a sticker. Nope. It's embroidered on! It's not coming off for anything. Really does look nice.. All-in-all, I recommend these to anyone who listens to Rock, Metal, or Country music. These excel at this. Edit: Replaced my 900w Kenwood as I had to crank the gain all the way up to move these. Replaced it with the Skar SKv2-1500.1D. Gave it a week to settle and break in. The 2 were made for each other. Subs never sounded so good! Keep in mind, these aren't a 1ohm load. So any watts rated for 1ohm on your amp will be less. But still more than a 2ohm load. ... show more

Alot of people hate on Skar ive had nothing but good experiences these things hit!!!!! Pit them in my old lady's 2011 kia serento and I have 2 15 skars the cats that tell you they blow easily probably doing too much had my 15's for over 5years now no issues and I can tell these will be fine.

Was not packaged the best. This setup was placed right into a cardboard box with not a single packing peanut or plastic wrap. The speaker surround foam was rubbing the cardboard box all the way from Texas to Maine. The carpet isn't seamless and shows spots of wood (seen in picture @ center bottom). Box lips have minor dents in various places (also seen in picture in various spots). Box came with cardboard fragments stuck to the carpet, not sure from where. The subwoofer cones have an excess of dust on them, not sure from where or how. These subs were gently unpackaged by myself and set directly into the hatch of my subaru, yet they look like they are months old already! And to top it all off, it didn't even come with a Skar audio sticker. I like stickers and am a little sad. Using +6db on the Skar 1200.1D to get some good bass out of it, sound quality is pretty decent and would probably recommend this setup for its sound:price ratio. ... show more
