This setup JAMS HARDCORE! Best slam for the buck!! Ive been out of the car audio world for 14 years or so, and wanted to add some bass to my car and a friend reccomended Skar to me. I was just looking for something moderate and I got to say these subs beat my expectations ten-fold. Back years ago when I was into car systems, sealed boxes were the only way to go and I would have never thought ported could slam as hard as these do, they jar my car on the lows and are very loud on higher notes. I had to add two more screws to my licence plate because it makes the trunk lid viberate so strong, they are *seriously* impressive. The amp is nice and powerful, has a selectable 6/12db bass eq, lp and ss filters and includes a bass remote. The system arrived a week earlier than estimated, and they were fortunately unharmed during shipping via fed ex. Nice plus is that the install kit included is the oxygen-free copper set and even included zip ties. They look geat in my car, and the weight of the box keeps them from sliding around so I can leave them unsecured and remove them if I need extra trunk room or to get to the spare tire. I am sold on Skar products, 5 stars from me and I will reccomend them to anyone looking for solid subs from now on. In the future im planning on replacing the rest of my cars speakers with Skar 4ohm 3-ways since my car has a factory amp and already uses 4-ohm drivers. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ ... show more

I have had a few different brands of woofers in the past. Rockford Fosgate was my favorite back in the day. I've been out of the sound game for quite a while and wanted that bass back in my sounds. This was the perfect setup to purchase. These woofers sound amazing, look beautiful and don't break the bank! Would definitely recommend. Some say these are great 'entry' level woofers. I'm not looking to break any records, I just wanted more boom with my music while driving and these do the trick way more than I expected. Don't be afraid to buy this setup!! *Added review* These woofers are now broke in and they hit SO hard for being 8" woofers. Has blown my mind and trunk lid open a few times (quite embarrassing while sitting at a stoplight). I think I can push them a little more, but with certain hip hop songs they begin to clip and distort with basic settings on the amp. With certain "bass tracks" I feel that they can still hit a little harder. Lower frequencies seem to not be a problem with these bad boys. It really seems to come down to what you listen to and how hard you can push them for what you want to listen to. Gotta find that balance! Very happy with this purchase! ... show more

Love this setup alot. Sounds amazing. Excellent bass. For those that wrote about the weird sound, its just the type of song, different bass used in the song and also your equalizer adjustments on the radio. Some reviewers wrote suggesting to break in the woofers first before you go full bass crazy and I agree 100%. Play with the adjustments on the amp to get the best sound. Adjust the bass with the controler that comes wih the set. I highly recommend this set up. I can imagine how amazing the 12's sound. I definitely will get those for my other car next. Easy install, great quality. Good instructions. 2nd kit I've ever put in, and much more hardy than the previous one I used. Fits perfect in my 2018 Honda Civic. Everything tucked in nicely.

I just put these in my Infiniti QX80 and it has some nice strong bass. Enough for me when you can’t see out the rear view or side views due to the air movement.
