  • Short minty girl, the struggle is real!
Color: Mint Green Size: 14inch/One Size Style: 24" / 3-speed
So initial reactions, I did a lot of research when looking for a bike that suits me. I'm 5' ft tall, exactly, 60 cms, I'm a petite adult woman. It's really close to impossible for me to enjoy the Limebikes and other services outside in the Boston area so I had to commit and buy a bike that suits my small height. The minty green is adorable, perfect for what I was expecting, the quality and sturdiness is very obviously there. The assembly was quite irritating -- it was partially put together (which they don't notate is standard for the Around the Block bikes) so following the manual was basically redundant. The saving grace was YouTube and all the assembly videos present to help me along. It's a heavy bike and you may need two people to help adjust things as you put it together. Overall though I love the appearance, I bought a mint basket to match the bike, which will be helpful during my commute. So I bought the 24' because I read the reviews and woes of other smaller woman struggling with the 26'. Their website says 5-6ft for the 26'. It's an utter lie. I'm BARELY holding on to the 24' then it occurred to me, it's not necessarily about height (we are not all cookie cutter humans) its about your LEG LENGTH. I have a long torso and short legs, I'm happy I chose the 24' because it's literally the only choice I had, I have to be on my tippy toes with it as is, but it rides. If I got the 26', I would have to wear platforms to ride the bike. If you're short and have similar proportions, you may want to consider disregarding their suggestion and getting the 24'. There was another reviewer that said she regretted keeping her 26' at 5'1 because she could not reach comfortable. So beware! Also, there is a weight limit of 198 lbs for the 24' tires, something to consider as well if you're overweight and trying to use this bike to get fit, someone heavier than me sat and the bike did not move well. I don't know how they say 300lbs, that seems really insane to me. As far as assembly suggestions, the constant swivel of the seat can be fixed, you just have to get yourself a ratchet and or crescent wrench and turn those suckers SUPER tightly. Their tools provided are AWFUL. Use your own. As far as the seat lever goes, make sure you grease it too. I found myself building it on a carpet because it helped protect the bike from scuffs as I haphazardly carried it during my assembly. I will update after usage during my commute to see how it lasts. I have high hopes! ... show more

  • Disappointing
Color: Mint Green w/ Black Seat/Grips Size: 17inch/One size Style: 26" / 7-speed
I didn’t realize until a month + after putting it together (since this is winter, I hadn’t ridden it....but we had a nice day, so i decided to ride with my boys in the driveway) Now, unfortunately, it is too late to return 😢 I started to ride, and changed gear....chain fell off....turns out the frame (including chain) appears to have been damaged (I didn’t notice when I received it). My husband thought something was wrong when he first put it together- but since I didn’t change gears then- I didn’t realize the problem (still really don’t know the problem...but it is too late to return) And now I have an expensive, damaged bike I never really used.😔....and the repairman will have to fix it.....(additional cost) Disappointed I didn’t inspect closer...and disappointed in the purchase. ... show more

  • Successful Birthday Present from my Husband!
Color: Mint Green w/ Black Seat/Grips Size: 17inch/One size Style: 26" / 7-speed
I love my new bike! At age 46, I wanted a comfortable bike to ride around with my family where I sat upright, had a few gears, and was light enough for me to lift onto the bike rake. Total success! The best features are: how comfy the seat feels, the chain rail cover and the paint job. I was also so pleased to find that the handlebars and the handbrakes were adjustable to my exact specifications. Unfortunately, the seat fell off and I fell on my 1st long ride when I swerved to miss a toddler, but that was due to assembly error not manufacturing. Luckily, I was able to quickly reassemble it myself after walking home and resume my ride. ... show more

  • No help from the ' call for help ' phone number
Color: Mint Green w/ Black Seat/Grips Size: 26" / 21-speed Style: Around the Block (Women's)
My husband is an ex auto mechanic and had no problems assembling the bike. The gear shifters are in the handle grips and rotate to operate. The shifter for the rear was stiff and hard to rotate but I was able to operate it. The shifter for the front set of gears was too hard for me to get from the lowest gear to the high gear. When pedaling the bike there is a knock noise that seem to come from the right pedal area. My husband called the help phone number and the lady said she would have a technician call him back in about an hour to give advice. No one ever called. We waited all day the next day and finally called back in the afternoon. We were left on hold for more than five minutes and then a recorded message came on and said for us to leave our e mail and they would get back. Several hours still no word. My husband diagnosed the knock noise to a bad bearing in the right pedal. He went and purchased 2 new pedals and that fixed the noise. He had me feel how rough the bearing felt when I held it and slowly turned it by hand. We are not at all happy with the quality of the bike or the lack of help with your service dept. Do Not Recomend this bike. ... show more

  • I love my new bike!
Color: Mint Green w/ Black Seat/Grips Size: 17inch/One size Style: 26" / 7-speed
Getting a bit older means riding a traditional bike gets a bit harder on your back hips hands and knees. A family member suggested a Townie bike that had an up right pose with a foot forward pedals. But once you see the price your in sticker shock. I also went to a shop and tried one, but it was still hard on my knees. After some research on bikes I found the SixThreeZero bikes. The prices were much more affordable. After reading the reviews I took the chance and ordered one. Since no shops carried them I thought if i didnt like it Amazon would take it back. But I found I loved it! The design is better then the pricier one. There is no pressure on my wrist and hands with the upright pose of it. And the peddle forward design its much easier on my knee! Also I did not have to take out a new mortgage to buy it. ... show more
