    • Decent sound quality, feel good on fingers
Although I ordered the David Ellefson signature series strings for 4 string bass (DE45105L) and was mistakenly sent the SIT power wound 5 string (NR 545125L) with the David Ellefson series sticker covering the bar code, the strings are still decent. They sound relatively bright, feel good on the fingers. Not what I wanted at all but still good strings nonetheless. I can only wonder what the correct strings I ordered sound like. ... show more

    • String Mix-up
The strings feel and sound good for the price, but there was a mix-up with the packaging of strings. So SIT ships their strings 2 to a bag for this product: E and D strings in one bag, A and G in another bag. Welp, who ever packaged my strings mixed them up. Luckily I discovered this just in time, but if someone changing strings wasn't experienced or didn't see well, there would be problems. ... show more

My purchase was based purely on price for an old bass. David ellefson had zero impact on my decision. These are a pretty good sounding and feeling string

    • Ironic name
After playing with there for a month I'm still having trouble with them staying in tune, compared to rotosound's with which I've had no problems. It's not a problem over the course of a practice or gig, but pretty much every string is off by the next time I pick up my bass. They're great, otherwise.

Great sound and playability. Most celebrity endorsed products do not live up to the hype. These string do that and more. don't hesitate to buy if you looking for a quality string with plenty of attack.
