I got these strings from my brother last Christmas and they sounds incredible. I tried them on 2 of my Yamaha basses and they sound stunning with these strings. They deliver a warm but punchy tone that sits in the mix quite well. They even sound pretty cool with effect pedals. for my purchase i got the light nickle wound bass strings and i use only the bottom two highest strings on my eight string in combonation with the sit nickle wound light gague guitar strings purchased seperatly

Made the switch from Custom Slinky's a few months ago and while these aren't as "punchy" as the previous strings, they do give a nice low end boost. As for staying in tune, I don't have to "tweak" these in-between sets as I have with other brands. Definitely recommend you give them a try.

The sound and feel are really good. I got these because I am from Ohio, and I like how they respond and how snappy they feel on my fingers. About the only downside is the tricky packaging, since they pack them in sets of 1st string and 3rd string, and 2nd string and 4th string. I made the mistake of not paying attention and putting the 65 where the 85 goes, but thankfully I was able to salvage it. These medium round-wound strings sound great. The problem is they turn my fingers black. I've only been using them about a week but I can't imagine they will last real long if they do this right out of the package...

Strings feel great, they're slick fast and a choice to play any style and sound good doing it. I've had them on my Edge4 with the preamp pickups for a while and they sound as good as the day I strung them up. Crisp and clear highs and a tight bottom end that with enough wattage can remove small children and animals from the room and empty knick-knacks from shelves 3 rooms away ... show more
