I purchased this to do macro photography. I have a RRS full size tripod but the legs get in the way when doing close up/macro work. I have used this tripod with an Arca-Swiss d4 geared tripod head along with a Nikon D850. There were no weight issues at all and my gear felt secure. The RRS travel tripod is over $1,000 so I went in search for an alternative. This is a great little tripod and to get carbon fiber for $100, that's a bonus. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the market for a mini tripod.

I really like this tripod. The build quality is awesome. In the flat leg position, it makes for a rock solid platform for ground level perspectives. What sold me the most was the 33lb weight capacity. I use this with a Pentax 645z medium format DSLR. Weight of that camera and biggest lens I have is 7lb. With added ball head, everything is still under 10lbs. In the lower height positions of this tripod, I would say it can steadily support 33lbs easily. But in the higher positions (with center column), even the load with my camera, lens and head being under 10lbs, it is not stable. I have yet to try with a sand bag pulling down on the column so hopefully that will be enough to stabilize it at the taller heights.

This is a great table top tripod. From my DSLR, Spotting Scope, Small Telescope, to my huge 20x80 Celestron Binoculars, it works! It's fat little legs keep it steady. The head mount I used is heavier than the tripod. Love the extras, pointy feet you can swap, the 1/4" and 3/8" adapter is fantastic. Whoever thought up this little creature I will give them 2 thumbs up and more star rating if possible!!!

I needed a compact tripod that could drop down low enough for the high shooting benches at the range I go to. This seemed to drop down lower than any other I saw. I own other Sirui tripods, so was familiar with the quality. However I didn't want a ball head, as shooting friends not familiar with the use of a ball head might end up knocking the rig over. So instead of the full Sirui tripod/ball head rig, I opted for the ULANZI U-190 Mini Pan Tilt Head, which works perfectly for this spotting scope rig. With the ULANZI U-190 Mini Pan Tilt Head installed, this and an Athlon Ares UHD 1545x65 spotting scope all fit perfectly in a Pelican Vault 200 case.

I use the tripod to support a Manfrotto fluid head and it’s perfect for the “look up” angle that’s so good when filming sports. Just know this is essentially a tabletop tripod and isn’t very tall.

Perfect. With the extension it is virtually perfect. It holds a lot of weight. I had a Canon R5 w/grip and the Canon 300mm f2.8 on it and it didn't give at all. Very firm.
