My background: I’ve been a full time commercial stills photographer and director of photography for almost 20 years and am used to working with really high end lenses and camera systems. That being said I had low expectations for a lens at this price point. My expectations were exceeded. I’m pretty impressed with this lens. It’s sharp in the perfect ‘cinema lens not too sharp’ kind of way. It’s well built and the focus and aperture rings are silky smooth and perfectly dampened. The color rendition and contrast are pleasant and natural. The flare control is well corrected and when it does flare it’s got that nice anamorphic look that isn’t overkill. I have zero issues with this lens. It’s so nice for the price that I’ll likely pick up the 35mm and 75mm versions. My only gripe is I received a previously returned item that had been opened and used. Packaging was cut open with scissors and lens cap was all scuffed up. I did not order a used lens. Since the lens itself is mint and in perfect working order I didn’t bother to send it back for exchange. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I really want to get into making good videos! Little by little! leans after leans, camera after camera! The addiction lead me to this anamorphic full-frame camera! I will post my unboxing soon.
