  • Lens Lives Up to the Hype
As a photographer, acquiring the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens has been a dream come true. This lens has quickly become my go-to for outdoor photography, and here's why: Sharpness: The laser-sharp focus this lens offers is truly remarkable. The clarity and detail in every shot make this lens stand out from the rest. Zoom Range: With a 70-200mm range, the zoom capability is versatile and beautiful. It allows me to capture everything from distant landscapes to intimate portraits with ease. Build Quality: This lens is solidly constructed, giving me the confidence that it will endure the demands of my photography adventures. Image Stabilization: The IS III system in this lens ensures that even at long focal lengths, I can get crisp shots without the need for a tripod. Bokeh: The wide f/2.8 aperture provides a lovely background blur (bokeh), making it ideal for isolating subjects and creating visually stunning images. Performance in Various Conditions: Whether it's bright daylight or low light situations, this lens performs excellently. The focus is quick, accurate, and quiet, making it suitable for various types of photography, including wildlife, sports, and portraiture. Compatibility: As a Canon DSLR user, this lens integrates seamlessly with my camera body, enhancing the overall user experience. Value: Although it's a premium lens, the quality and performance justify the investment. It's a lens that I foresee using for many years to come. Summary: The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens has not disappointed me in any way. Its range, sharpness, build quality, and aesthetics make it a joy to use, and it's no wonder it's always on my camera when I head outside. • Top of the food chain
I bought the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L III, and before it arrived, I had already decided that I had enough lenses for my new hobby and fully planned to return it. However, once it was in my hands, I couldn't resist the temptation to attach it to my Canon 90D and snap a few photos and videos. That turned out to be a big mistake. This lens is definitely worth considering, as it produces some of the highest quality images I have taken, & I’m comparing to my prime lenses, the 50mm and 85mm. The aperture is fantastic, allowing me to capture my fast-moving dogs while maintaining a lower ISO setting. The autofocus performance on this lens is a beast. The lens's ability to capture sharpness and intricate details is remarkable. The image stabilization system is essential for me, as it minimizes hand shake and preserves sharpness, as seen in one of my photos of my dog leaping into the air to catch a ball. I was juggling the camera while throwing a ball and quickly lifting the camera to shoot, all within a few seconds. I am always on the go, and while I do own a tripod, it isn't a practical option for me. With all the features this lens offers, it allows me to take excellent photos despite my limited knowledge. I am eager to see what I can achieve as I learn more. This lens quickly became one of my favorites after just an hour of shooting with my dogs. It's safe to say that I will be keeping this lens and am looking forward to my next outdoor photography session. ... show more

  • WOW! What a great lens.
After shooting with my older EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM for years, I started to notice that my images were softer than those taken with my other (newer) Canon lenses. I had it cleaned and recalibrated and while the results were better, I realized that it was probably time to replace it with the most current version. The new Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens is somewhat lighter and MUCH sharper. I just returned from an out of state nature shoot where I used this lens extensively hand holding it mostly at 200mm. All the images are tack sharp with excellent colour and detail. The 70-200 has always been my 'go-to' lens for many situations... I love the flexibility to choose either lovely bokeh backgrounds or excellent depth of field depending on the situation and the results I'm trying to achieve. This is a GREAT lens and although it's a bit pricy, it has already proven to be a professional tool that does exactly what it's supposed to. I'm really loving my new Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens and am glad that I didn't 'cheap out' with a less expensive competitors product. ... show more

  • Nice lens
I’m sure it was a good lens but I decided I didn’t need it. It was a want and not a need.

Love love love this lens. I bought it to take pictures at my kids events. It is sharp and get me close to the action. Because it is a 2.8 I can get pretty good images wven if the lighting isn't great. I recommend this lens.

  • Razor sharp
Excellent lens for just about any type of photography. Using it for portraits and sports for my daughters. Very sharp, focuses fast and beautiful bokeh. The 200mm focal length is a bit short for flag football shooting from the sidelines or the end zones, a bit of cropping does the job. I’ve paired it up with a 6D2 and it’s a good combo. Worth every bit of the $1900. Not as good as the 200mm f2L but that’s a special lens with a high price tag. F 2.8 is just fast enough for shooting under the lights of the field. I used it with the 1.4 tele converter stopped down and it was adequate. ... show more
