I am a pro photographer and although I’ve owned 2 mirrorless Canon cameras since 2019, this is my first RF lens. I have been shooting EF lenses with the adapter and the results have been great. The only major issue with the EF lenses is how they struggle to focus in low lighting and tended to not be sharp from corner to corner in images. This lens solves all that and is a joy to use. It finally feels like I’m reaping the full benefits of Canon’s mirrorless system. The lens also has outstanding build quality too. I can’t wait to use this at events! I am fortunate that I bought this lens before Canon officially increased pricing by $500 due to tariffs…

I'm STLbyLevy Photography, a professional portrait and headshot photographer, I could confidently recommend this telephoto lens for most photographers. It covers a wide focal range from a wide but usable length of 24mm for group portraits, to 70mm for a more compressed look. This lens stays on my camera essentially from the time of purchase. It's been my go-to lens, and it just works!! Though it's not the most budget-friendly, trust me when I say it's well worth the investment.
