The media could not be loaded. I just received this product and it’s pretty much perfect. Came with a manual in 3 languages and extra supplies. Feels very strong and heavy duty. I did have trouble getting the needle to pick up the bobbin thread even after reading the manual and watching tutorials on the internet (the hook timing on this machine is off) but you can put the needle down and pull it up yourself with a pair of scissors or tweezers which is what I’ve been doing. Other than that it’s perfect. Can’t wait to start using this machine more often! My goal is to make my own clothes. ... show more

My wife received this as a birthday gift and she loves it. She is an independent artist that sells product at local markets and shows, so she is able to branch out from her illustrations to make zipper pouches. She can crank them out like a machine with this piece of equipment. She's very happy with it and it is helping her fulfil her dreams. There was one issues however. Upon the first usage, the pedal stopped working and the device would not sew. After a couple hours of troubleshooting, I was able to open the pedal and see one of the prongs at the front had come out of its housing. I believe it was due to packed wiring at the end of the pedal, agitated by the act of pressing the pedal, that caused it to come out. I put the prong back in and closed the pedal housing; sewing again. Unfortunately, it happened a second time. We were able to secure the wire down with electrical tape, but it seems an oversight that the prongs were not secured inside by glue or soldering, or the wire in a less vulnerable spot. This was a gift for one of my daughters and she absolutely loves it. She has not had a lot of experience sewing and wanted a simple, easy to use machine. This was the perfect fit for her. It has all the basic stitches needed to create just about anything!

    • Do not buy if you're a beginner . . .

I've been sewing for over 50 years. I've used many different sewing machines. This one is the worst I've ever had. It's described as a machine that is good for beginners. If I were a beginner and got this machine I would give up sewing! First of all the threader feature works unreliably and is very much in the way. There is no way to move it aside so that it didn't crowd the access to the presser foot. I could not depend on this threader to work each time I tried to use it. My husband is a skilled mechanic so I asked him if it could be removed but it's too much a part of the machine to do so easily. You'd be better off buying a cheap pair of magnifying glasses from Walmart if you have trouble threading the machine. Personally, I'm fine with threading without this help. Next, the tension is not right and won't hold adjustments if I could guess what it should be! And finally the needle hits the bobbin case, causing the machine to jam. I could not even begin to understand what I could do to solve this. I tried changing needles, thinking it could be a bent needle but that didn't solve it. To sum it up, if you are a beginner you will give up on sewing if you have this machine thinking it's just too hard and if you've been sewing for years as I have you will realize this machine is awful and send it back!
