This works particularly well for taking the large spools off my serger and threading my sewing machine. If I want serged seams and sewn seams to match, this is how I do it. It doesn’t have any way to “fit” the spools, so I do find the larger spools to be a bit “wobbly” but this doesn’t affect performance on my singer heavy duty machine. It was relatively easy to put together. You do have to occasionally twist the two pieces tight again, as the loosen over time. Good price, not cheap plastic. I’m happy with it ... show more

I bought this because I purchased some large cones of thread that were too big to fit on my machine. This works very well to hold the thread and I like how tall it it is so it's easier for my machine. The color says pink but its more of a purple pink color like lavender which I wasn't fond of. I have to give it a 1 because 0 isn’t available! I think this product is defective. The hook needs to screw into a part and it’s not built that way! So it can’t be used.
