I love my halo radar. Not only does it reach out 24 miles, it is amazing in helping navigate congested waterways. The harbor mode target tracks that are potential dangers to your vessel, and identifies them as a collision threat. I installed myself. It comes with paper template, just read the instructions, follow template. Took me about 30 minutes, I went slow. Easy 12V wiring. Long cable, plenty for my 21' CC. I do have to provide power to Radar first, then start up my Simrad Go9 so that the Go9 can see the radar, then go from Standby to Transmit. I was seeing beyond 30nm, left Dana Point Harbor and was seeing Catalina island, as well as other boats 100 yards from me. Excellent target separation, tracking and weather range near 50 miles. Turn ON trails for bird detection because they disappear fast and likely good up a 3 miles depending on density of flock.
