MY OPINION: This pressure washer is great, it runs like a charm and is easy to drag around. Just this past weekend I used it to clean my back patio pavers. It took me about 2 1/2hrs, but the results made it all worth it. Before this washer I had a 3000 PSI husky washer that i used to wash everything... Driveways, pavers, stucco walls, PVC fences. It ran great but just recently failed on me with an internal motor issue. I decided to jump on this Simpson's Pressure Washer and give it a try. So far I really love this pressure washer, it performs very well compared to my Husky. Something great about this pressure washer is the location of the High Pressure Pump, if and when it needs to be replaced Simpson made it very easy to locate and remove. For the price I would definitely recommend this washer. WHAT'S IN THE BOX?? Inside the box you will find: Pressure Washer Gun Stainless Steel Wand Motor, Pump and Wheels already assembled on the frame 1 Bottle of 4 Stroke Oil Instructions/Manuals 5 Attachments, 0*, 15*, 25*, 45*, and Soap 25 Ft High Pressure Hose I was able to assemble all that was necessary too and get out pressure washing in about 5-10 minutes. PSI GUIDE: Light-duty pressure washers are rated below 2000 PSI. They work best for cleaning patio furniture and siding as well as cars, trucks and boats. They can also handle sidewalks, driveways, patios, fences and decks. Medium-duty pressure washers generate between 2000 and 2800 PSI. They handle the same cleaning projects as light-duty models, but are best for siding, fences, decks and patios. Heavy-duty pressure washers put out between 2900 and 3300 PSI.     • “Engine Damage” After 2 hours of use!

I purchased this pressure washer due to its supposed high ratings and quality. My experience has been anything but that. I owned this machine for under a week and ran it for under 2 hours before the engine began to sputter. After shutting it off, the pull cord was locked up and would not restart. I called the manufacturer, Simpson, who directed me to a local authorized shop for a warranty claim. After sitting in their shop for 6 weeks, I was told the engine has “irreversible damage” and “evidence of being run without lubricants.” I know this was not the case because I put the correct oil type and amount that was included with the machine at purchase. When returning to the manufacturer, they insisted they cannot help out any further unless a shop gives them more detail other than the piston being locked up. Amazon will also not accept a return due to it being outside the return window (because it sat idle in the shop for 6 weeks). So now I’m SOL on a $400 machine because the engine lasted a full two hours. I will not be giving Simpson my business again and advise anyone else do the same. You will not receive any sort of customer service if/when issues arise. ... show more

This unit replaced a Ryobi that served me well for over 10 years, but is now having problems. I wanted a washer that had easily accessible parts, such as the pump and carb. The Kohler engine is (hopefully) US made or at least assembled. My research revealed many models with Chinese made engines, which I wanted to avoid. It was easy to set up out of the box. However, the printed instructions talked about adjusting a vent on the pump, which I was never able to find or confirm that it even existed on this OEM brand pump. Here are some plusses and minuses after just a couple hours of run time: Plus - This thing kicks butt on power. I throttled it down for some purposes. Plus - The handle can be reversed, making the unit very compact for storage. Plus - Good fuel capacity. Should permit long running time. Plus - There is an actual throttle. Many others use governors or a set speed. Nice to have the control. Minus - The engine will stall at low throttle with the wand turned off. Evidently pumping resistance is a bit too much at low speed. Will run fine at low speed with the wand trigger depressed, though. Minus - The small wiring bundle zip-tied near the start/stop switch is vulnerable to damage and looks cheap. MInus - the oil filler opening is awkward to use, even with a funnel. Wish it had a usable filler neck. Haven't tried the soap siphon feature. Yes, it's noisy. They all are. If you want quiet and can live with less power, get an electric model. So far I'm happy with this washer. Durability remains to be seen. Gets 4/5 due to the minuses listed, but overall it's a very good value. ... show more

Great pressure washer, easy to assemble and does a great job. One thing I would point out, on initially starting my machine, it started right away and died in about 5 seconds. I tried starting it and it was extremely hard to pull the cord to turn over the engine and I could not get it to start. I discovered, as others here have pointed out, that you need to relieve the water pressure in the machine to make it easy to turn over. If you do that, it will start like magic. Machine arrived in perfect condition, no damage to machine. Only funny thing was the wand says Dewalt on it, I am guessing they also make machines for Dewalt, ... show more
