I'm new to the world of frothers, and this is my first wand frother. It was an amazing deal at around $8. I've used it once so far, and the foam was decent, but I feel like a the result has a lot to do with developing some skill in operating the device and knowing how long to run it. I like that the wand type of frother takes up almost no space when on the counter. In addition, this one has a couple plus points in that it includes batteries and a solid stand (unlike some others). Its on/off switch requires a purposeful press, which may be a good thing. It's quite powerful. One thing that concerns me is that given the unit's power, the frother stem seems extremely thin. Compared to a plug-in/automatic frother I got where you pour the milk into it and select a run setting, the wand frother differs in that you obviously must use your own cup or other receptacle, and you can't use the wand frother to heat milk (which the automatic one can do, to some extent). Getting back to operator skill, wand frothers obviously present a far bigger learning curve (than automatic ones): You must manually hold the frother and try to move it around in a controlled manner to structure the foam while keeping it off the bottom (and I presume the sides) of your receptacle. However, this theoretically might allow a skilled operator more freedom to ensure even frothing; in the automatic frother (the one I got, anyway), the frothing element is fixed in place at the bottom. Also, I'm slightly wary of what might happen if the wand frother did touch the side or bottom of my cup while running. %^) I'll update this review if I find out or have anything else to add. ... show more

I received the whisk last week and I've already used it a few times. I don't use it to froth milk or anything fancy, but to quickly whisk my fiber into water and other liquids. It works perfectly every time and is much more efficient than using a fork. I can't speak to it's frothing abilities. Bonus points: It came with batteries, so I didn't have to scramble to find any around the house. I would highly recommend this product! 💕 ... show more

I love my frother and use it for almost anything annd sometimes use it instead of using a spoon. I wanted to have one for my office so I didn’t have to keep bringing my back and forth, so I bought another. My only complaint with the new one is the bottom prong is off, which leaves the frother standing crooked which looks odd (to me), but my first one isn’t like this. So far so good. Using this to mix powdered formula to avoid having to shake heavy long cylinder container when mixing powder in liquid for someone with weak hands. Large on/off button on the top makes easy to turn on/off when in that large long cylinder. Light weight. HINT 1: Our powder usually floats at the top of liquid line, so only need to dip the mixer-head about 1/2 to 1 inch deep into the liquid to blend powder down into liquid. Hold the mixer-head at an angel. (Obviously you can still go deeper.) AND… HINT 2: Fill liquid lower than rim of container to give room for potential splashing. Since we only initially fill our long container less than halfway when mixing, the sides of container contain all potential splash. HINT 3. Easy to clean. Rub a tiny bit of some dishwashing liquid soap on mixer-head and bar then put under running water. (No need to turn it on as then water will splash). Cleans in a jiffy. We have an espresso maker, but I wanted to be able to froth my milk for iced coffee. I am glad I bought this light weight frother. I really like that there is a stand to keep it visible and neat. This also came with batteries as well. If you like your milk frothy, then this is for you.

I had never used a handheld foam maker before buying this. Thus, I had a lot of messy coffees until I finally learned how to use this correctly. The trick is to add your creamer and just a spot of coffee, then use the foamer, then once you get a good foam, pour the rest of your coffee on top. It doesn't destroy the foam, either. But, you won't get the same foam effect with some of the non-dairy creamers, which I use most of the time. Still, a nice decent foam with this mixer. ... show more

It's so cute, and efficient. I've used it every day to froth my coffee creamer and it works great. I use a lot of powders to make drinks. this is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. The strange thing is I tried to put new batteries in it, but only the ones that came with it worked. I’m not quite sure why that is but it is a good product.
