2d update: ignore both their instructions and mine. Too complicated. Here’s the revised simple system: Put the filter in the pot. Rest it on top of filter holder. Fill with water to first line in filter. Put 2 cups of ground coffee in filter. Pour in more water until coffee reaches near top of filter. Stir gently. Come back a little and stir some more until watery coffee level is near the top of filter. Leave room to stir without overflowing. I made it too complicated and so did they. Still, a superior system that makes a lot of brew without much cleanup. I do hand wash the filter occasionally. I also bought a very cheap 2 cup plastic measure that I don’t have to wash every time. Ezpz. Not brain surgery. Update: I’ve used it now several times. I’m still using regular ground store bought coffee without issue. I also got tired of weighing coffee. Using two cups of regular ground works fine for me. So basically here are my revised instructions: Add 5 cups of water to empty pot. Add 2 cups of ground (obviously) coffee to filter. Stir gently. Insert into pot. Add 2.5 cups of water on top. Try not to overflow filter. Stir gently. I use an old chopstick for poking and stirring. Top of coffee should look watery after awhile. Note: this leaves you a little room to add a small amount of water on top. Don’t overflow the filter. Do it anytime during the day and it will be ready early the next morning. Original: I’ve used several different cold brew makers over the years. The challenges are always getting a full taste brew and cleaning. This one solves those problems. Why? The quality of the filter is a lot better than the mesh screen type. It filters better. Because the filter doesn’t sit on the bottom of the holder, the sludge does not stay in the filter. Very easy to clean with a paper towel after a simple rinse. They all tell you to use coarse ground. I don’t. I use cheap pre ground coffee because if you add milk and sweetener the nuance of expensive coffee is lost anyway, at least for me. Issues: the instructions are weak, especially on attaching the filter basket holder. Hint: insert making a Y with the wide part at the top. It also uses a significant amount of coffee: 9 ounces. (There is line on the filter basket so you don’t have to weigh it.) Suggestion: during the brew waiting period, slowly stir now and then. The coffee holder does not fit very well in refrigerator and won’t fit in the door on mine. Who cares? I use a thin container I already had. All in all a superior cold coffee brewer at a good price. Recommended.

This coffee machine is pure genius. I mean, who even thought it was possible to make an espresso machine this small? It's even smaller than some K-cup machines I've seen. My office doesn't have a coffee machine, and I need at least three cups a day to survive, so now I can just bring this little guy with me and make coffee anytime. Perfect for me, seriously. Oh, and the cold brew mode? Like, what? An espresso machine that doesn't need to be plugged in to make cold brew? Never seen that before. Super cool feature. Anyway, if you love coffee and want something compact and portable, I'd totally recommend this!

I actually bought this last year (July 2022). I had delicious cold brew iced coffee over the entire hot summer. It is now July 3rd, 2023 & I just pulled it out of my cabinet for this summer. Item is easy to use but be careful when pouring water over the ground coffee because it can spill over & end up in the pot. Then you'll have coffee grounds at the bottom of your cup. Just remember to pour slowly & stir the grounds while pouring so that it is all evenly "wet." I love the fact that it makes a large batch of iced coffee. I like my coffee strong so I let it sit in the fridge for a full 24 hrs before removing the mesh basket. I don't put any components in the dishwasher. Instead I do a gentle hand wash so as not to expose any plastic parts to the heat dry. I've seen some reviews where they stated the basket broke or got clogged in a short amount of time or that the lid leaks. It's been a year now & I've never had an issue after multiple uses. We'll see how it holds up over this summer. I highly recommend this item. UPDATE 9/4/2023 Just wanted to add to my original review. My husband, who never had cold brew iced coffee before has become a fan of it. He starting drinking it instead of hot coffee due to the high weather temperatures & heat waves we've had this summer. We were going through it so fast that I ordered a second pot about 2 weeks after I left my first review. Now we always have one pot brewing & one ready to drink. No issues of leaks or other problems with this 2nd pot.

I love this little machine, it is exactly what I needed. I have a very limited counter, so size was the top priority, it is so easy to use, (once you read the directions) easy to clean, and makes a wonderful cup of espresso or latte (my two favs). The frother is a special bonus. Overall, this is a great little machine. Also, came very well packaged.

Was satisfied with the pot for about 2 days. I found the steps to be slightly redundant and questioned the final product. Quite a bit of silt ends up on the bottom of the pot requiring me to strain the brew. After the first brew, I noted coffee running down the outside of the pot from the plastic band. The container seems to be well made except for the leaking. I’m not a fan of the filtration container which is difficult to clean and lets too much silt residue through. I tried filter bags, but they too were complicated to shut and floated. I think a French press would have been better. Coffee isn’t what I’d call a concentrate, but it does allow me to make cold brewed iced coffee which is much better that hot brewed coffee. Wish I could have found one slightly larger in stainless steel.
