I bought two of these in black. Yes, they are cute and would work as a night light with a night light bulb which is what I intended to do with an LED night light bulb. Based on other reviews I wouldn't trust this with a hotter bulb. However, they lamps are way too light weight wobbly, too easy to tip over and very fragile! Before I unraveled one of the cords, I set it on a table and the cord dangling off the edge had enough weight to pull the lamp to the floor. Broke into a million pieces. The bottom is made of a pretty fragile ceramic and due to the light weight of it and the heaviness of the cord, the cord pulled it off the table. The other thing is why did they put a stark white cord on a black lamp? It stands out horribly. I will have to look for something a little more solid and stable. But having so easily broken one before I got to try it out, I have the other one, but will not be purchasing this again. ... show more

I needed small lamps for next to the beds in our guest room. These lamps are definitely small, (I included a picture for reference) but they provide plenty of light and were the perfect pop of color I needed for the space! And at the price point, I feel they are a great deal! The base isn't heavy, but feels sturdy enough that it wouldn't break right away in a fall or anything. Lamp shades are expensive and this lamp/shade combo is not, so I was not surprised that the shades were thin. While taking the clear plastic wrap off of one of them, I dented it. I immediately popped the dent back out and there is no mark or anything, but I don't think these shades would remain undamaged through any punctures or hard falls. Just be gentle with them and they'll be fine. Some commentors say their lamp uses odd lightbulbs or nightlight bulbs, but the yellow one I received doesn't. It uses a 40 watt candelabra bulb, which is what our ceiling fans use. The bulbs are easy to find and provide plenty of light. I will admit that the socket does look a bit different than a standard socket, but the candelabra bulb fit and worked just fine. I bought 2 of these for our guest room and I am happy with them! I would buy more and would recommend them for any space that you need a small lamp or a pop of color! ... show more

The base and shade do not match as in the pictures. I ended up painting the base to match. Also the bulbs I got stuck out the top and I had to rig it so the lamp shade was tall enough. I had to purchase weights for the base so my little girl wouldnโ€™t knock it over every time she turned it on.

Cute little lamp and perfect for what I wanted. Not crazy about the cord color (white) but thatโ€™s a 50/50 chance depending on the customer and their preferences. An included bulb would have been nice too - though I was aware of this lack when I made my purchase.
