This lamp is small, simple and dainty. It's a cute, yet elegant lamp. I now have 2 and might get a third for the guest bedroom! I think it's perfect for the bedside, doesn't take up much of your night stand, and has just the right brightness for a comfortable ambiance in bed before you sleep; whether you're reading, watching a late night show, or just relaxing. I wish that they made it more clear that it doesn't come with the bulb, or even offered a package deal to pair the bulb with the lamp at checkout. It's not a standard bulb, I will leave a picture of the bulb I got from Walmart since I had to go get one. Tennis ball is what I had nearby for size reference lol. This was the perfect size for my 4.5 year olds bedroom, it’s little dainty and cute it doesn’t put off too much light but enough to keep the fear of darkness away. Put the bulb in, yes it was the correct bulb, & it popped & destroyed my surge protector. Almost thought it blew the TV. Put the 2nd bulb in, in a different room & outlet, & that one threw sparks. I don't want the trouble of returning but I won't buy again!

It was my own fault should have realized from the price that this wasn't a full size lamp for side of the bed. But it is a good lamp and with a nice led bulb it puts out ample light and good for a desk.
