The lamp was well packaged, but when I put it together, I put the shade upside down and was shocked that the bulb was exposed. Then I realized my mistake and it was easily corrected (well, after some laughs). This is going in our guest room, and the subdued light from the dark shade is very nice, and the pull chain makes it easy to turn off and on. Bought the gold but the light pull is silver. I like the lamp and it looks good in my office but the shade has a defect in it. Will need to return the lamp if a new shade can't be sent to replace this one.

I got 2 lamps that arrived in perfect condition but seem really tiny. When I look at other reviews you can see the pull string hanging down, mine is up under the shade. When I put in the lightbulb you can see it out of the top. I followed the directions as far as removing the socket nut, put on the lamp shade, return the socket nut and screw in lightbulb. They’re both like this so I feel like I have to be doing something wrong but I don’t know what ... show more
