I bought these for our nightstands. We just moved into a bigger house with a large master bedroom but the overhead lighting in that bedroom is insufficient for its size and I needed something for reading. Also my husband gets up for work MUCH earlier than I do when it's still dark and he doesn't want to turn on the light and disturb me or fumble around in the dark, so this little lamp is the perfect solution! Here's what I love: - SIZE: These little guys are itty bitty, but for the limited real estate on a nightstand that's perfect! See my pictures for scale. On my night stand I have an alarm clock, an iPhone charging dock, a remote control and a baby monitor, so there wasn't much room left for a lamp, but these are great! - DESIGN: In spite of their small size they are very chic and modern looking! The brushed nickle finish of the base looks really nice and is a great contrast to the crisp white shades. I really like things that are minimal and aren't over designed. I love the look! It would go with almost any decor! - VERSATILE: While I think these lamps really shine as night stand lamps (pun not intended) they could be used in a lot of different spaces like a small work desk, on end tables, console or entry tables, on a fireplace mantel or by a rocking chair in a baby's room etc. - EASY: I am a huge fan of the touch base light controls. The last thing you want to do in the middle of the night if you have to turn on a light is fumble around for switches. It couldn't be easier to control with the touch of a finger, and the controls are very sensitive! - 3 BRIGHTNESS OPTIONS: I love that in addition to the touch base control, you have 3 brightness options to choose from and they are all very different! I love that it starts out with the lowest option because who wants to get blasted in the face with light in the middle of the night if all you need is a little. I find the settings to be perfect for different needs like getting up for a baby, reading at night, a trip to the bathroom, watching TV, getting ready for work in the dark etc. - PRICE POINT: You'd be hard pressed to find another pair of lamps that work this well and look this nice for this price. Trust me, I looked. Obviously they're not made of silver and silk but for our purposes they're wonderful! You should know that they each require 1 B type bulb (the candelabra kind) which most people don't just have on hand and they don't come with bulbs so be prepared. At first I was a little disappointed to see that those are the bulbs they require because I was worried they wouldn't put out enough light but I was very wrong! If you're looking for a small but nice looking and effective matching pair of night stand lamps that won't break the bank, I can't recommend these enough! I'm a fan of these little guys! They were well-packaged and easy to put together. They're tiny, which I wanted so I could fit them on bookcases. One of them sits on a small bookcase above my desk - I wanted it to also function as a desk lamp. These lamps are plenty bright and the touch-sensitivity works flawlessly. But, the bulb color is SUPER warm. (I bought what the seller recommended.) I'm a fan of warm lights, but this is just about too warm, especially for a desk lamp. It's very nice on my eyes at night, but the lighting isn't very clear on a desk or paper. I'd imagine these would be good for nightstands. Also, the bulb will get HOT. Nothing has happened because of that though. The overall design is stylish and it puts out a lot of light for a little guy. I'm impressed! ... show more

These two lamps arrived in a box about the size of a toaster, if that gives you an idea of how small these are. That said, that was what I was looking for to use on my bedside table. These are the perfect size for a bedside table and the touch settings worked great as soon as I plugged it in. Nice long black cord, as well. Base of the lamp is a nice shiny silver, and the lamp shade is a ivory color and in good condition. All of this said, I was unimpressed by the *lack of a bottom of the lamp.* to clarify, the base of the lamp underneath is a flimsy piece of cardboard that popped open on it's own when I took it out of the package, immediately exposing the wires that compose the lamp inside. Not impressed by this. I just put it back into place knowing I won't really move the lamp often and it won't show, but it's still a bad design. Know that you must use an incandescent light bulb with this lamp (Search "Westinghouse 4023 40-Watt, B 9-1/2 Decorative Ceiling Fan Bulb" in Amazon search bar). Recommend the two pack, as this purchase comes with a pair of lamps. The lowest touch setting on this lamp is extremely dim-hard to tell it's even on so I'd be wary not to leave it on by accident. The medium touch setting is more of a bright candle glow, and the highest setting is proficient to read by. Hope this is helpful! Overall, product is sufficient for what I was looking for although I would have appreciated a better bottom on the lamp. *Update: I've had these lamps for about 4 months now. They are still going strong, and get daily use! I have one on my bedside table and really love the touch feature-so much easier especially if I get up at night. They are SMALL lamps, so perfect for something like a night stand. My only remaining complaint is the flimsy bottom of the lamp (it's legit a teeny piece of cardboard covering wires) but you can't see it at all so it isn't a huge issue for me. ... show more

we have both in the kitchen at opposite sides of the counter on the island and they are awesome. not only do they provide light close to the counter top because of ceilings are pretty high, but they have 3 levels of brightness. so when im in the kitchen i have everything on the brightest level and then when its time for evening routine for the kids, i can put them on the lowest setting and have a calm vibe in that part of the house (and same thing for morning routines). ive had these since may 2019 and its now march 2020 and the one light bulb just burnt out because i accidentally threw a dog toy and it hit and bumped the lamp off the counter, so the other lamp is still going strong on the same light bulb.you wont be disappointed and they are also very chic looking, it gives off a nice glow. the only problem i some times have and wished for was that there be more space in between the base and the lamp cover, there isnt much room to get your hand in there to touch the base, but im so used to it at this point i dont think about it anymore. ... show more
