Wonderful!!!! We love these fans so much. They're super powerful, with 3 settings, and they're easy to carry from one room to another. They're a nice size and look and feel very sturdy, so they seem like they're going to last a long time. Only time will tell. The price was great for two as well. Really nice fan so far. I wanted a good fan but small enough to fit on a filing cabinet. This is perfect. In Florida the heat can get so hot that you need some kind of cooling off when you work in a warehouse in the heat. This is perfect for my youngest to stay cool while siting at the outside computer. update 9/25: Fan has been running continuously at high speed for 2 years and 4 months. I am impressed. No issues with it, just a lot of clinging dust to clean off. While I did expect a stronger flow, this performance is good enough to up my rating to 5 stars. I even bought a second one, which is now almost $10 cheaper than the first one was, with a couple design changes - mainly a more compact cage for the blades. We'll see how the second one holds up! I do think ball bearings in the motor make all the difference in long-term performance. And this fan has them! See included pic below, which shows the ball bearing at one end of the drive shaft. I've become a fairly adept fan motor fiddler, as I've purchased and repaired various fan motors in my home over the years, whether for bathroom exhaust, air cleaners, or simply to enhance airflow around my house to augment crummy ductwork layout. Nearly every single one has "sintered bronze" bearings (google it), and for such simple devices they can indeed hold up a long time, but most often do not when in continuous use - the lubricant dries up, and then the bearings start to squeak - sadly the fan may just be junk at that point. I've learned that with cleaning and re-lubing with a proper lubricant (like Liquid Bearings or 3-in-1 Electric Motor Oil) they most often can be restored to good working condition, though it gets to become a cycle of re-cleaning and re-lubing. With this fan's ball bearings at both shaft ends, the process is stretched way out longer (years!), and you can simply get new bearings when the old ones wear out, and super cheap at that - like $1 apiece! Just read the number on the bearing and search for matching ones on Amazon. One caution is the ball bearings can vary a bit widely in quality, resulting in slight noise from some, but at a buck each you can hunt for well-reviewed ones or those intended for high-speed applications. -------- Original ------- On high speed it sounds like it's blowing a lot of air, but not as much as I would expect from a twelve inch fan, which is rather large - especially one described as "industrial". ... show more

I spent quite a while building my garage into a proper workshop. That included AC. The white thing is a room AC unit, I got it cheap, but needed a better way to circulate the cold air in my shop. Hence the fan purchase. I tossed the included stand, useless for my application, bent up a nice hanger, look at those bends boys, and hung in on the wall. Plugged it in, now nice cold air blows all around the shop! SWEET!! After reading all the reviews, I expect at some point to clean and lube the bearings myself, but that's not a issue for me. A little lite machine oil, we'll be good to go! Good price, quite as needed, works well, WINNER WINNER! ... show more

That is something you would want to keep in mind, but with any metal you are going to have noise... I don't mind the noise. I actually use one every night when I go to sleep. It's great for any room. 4 years later, 1 still works! Heavy usage in a Houston garage. Of all I've bought every year or two, this one has lasted longest and is quietest - I can hear videos on my laptop with it right next to me. It works great, knob is not broken, but is better for big air flow on an interior. In a hot humid garage, it is more of a personal fan - set it up 5' from my workstation to blow right on me. The quiet is a trade-off with cfm, tho. If you really want airflow, I also have the 5300 cfm Hurricane Pro Heavy-Duty High Velocity Metal Blade Floor Fan w/ 3 Speeds, Black, 20" but can NOT hear the laptop videos (if they are a bit quiet) with it next to me. ... show more

So fast they work so good in my house. I just love them. I ordered these. I have so many in here and I like this specific kind. They get the room code right along with air conditioner so if you want any kind of fans or your home the medals are the best and this company is the best fans now they do have turtle but I think that’ll be too loud. Ok, this is an INITIAL review. I literally JUST plugged them in (yes, I bought 2 of the 12in fans). WHAT!? I'm literally debating on buying a 3rd for another person's home I often stay at. They're compact, easy to travel with, SIMPLE setup, and my apartment (in NYC during this miniature heat week) immediately turned 10 degrees cooler. So far, so good. Can't speak to dust build up, can't speak to durability, but I can say that they FEEL durable, and they look beautiful (although, the cord IS giant, but that's a good thing to some people, myself included. ... show more
