I live in a small home that was built in the 70s. There's no central Heat and Air but i have quality units in the wall and window in my room. My home stays at 72 year round. I recently had to have my main wall unit replaced and it's a few BTUs less but way more efficient. It needed some help to circulate and i have the perfect spot for it. There is some white noise but nothing my 7.1 surround sound isn't knocking out. The fan is angled and completely circulates the air in my kitchen/living space. It's amazing that one quality shop fan can make such a big difference in the majority of my home. It's sturdy, easy to clean and mine hasn't had any issues, digs, ect. The low setting is more than enough for 5-600sqft so I'm sure in a larger space, would be very effective. I hope it lasts a long time ... show more

I purchased these for my East TN home - my ancient AC died and it’s hot and humid. The 20” are amazing. They come assembled except for snapping on the base. Yes they are noisy but it’s totally worth it. I use them for my dogs - who lie in front of them blissed out. I set them just outside my doors at night and they draw in cool air and blast it into the house. I’m going to order two more immediately. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the two pack 18" fans. I live in the south and it's been unmercifully hot this season! Our air conditioner hasn't been able to keep it comfortably cool enough so I bought these hoping to help circulate the cool air a bit more. I am very impressed with how powerful these fans are!! I have them setup at each end of the kitchen/living room to create some cross air flow and they really WORK!! I guess they would probably be considered a little loud but most high velocity fans are. The noise doesn't bother me though, I sleep with a box fan going year round just for the white noise. My one and only complaint is the length of the power cords. They're pretty short so I'm limited on where I can position them. That's the only reason these got 4 stars instead of 5. If the power cords were even just a foot longer, I would have definitely rated it five stars. Overall, I really love these fans. They're powerful, produce a lot of air and feel sturdy so I expect them to be durable. ... show more

This review is for the 12” diameter fan by Simple Deluxe. We needed a fan for drying residual water on tiles of our bathroom shower. Wow, this fan is a little powerhouse! Only 12” diameter, but moves mountains of air. Dries a very tall large tiled line shower on about 20 minutes. Simply amazing. What I like most about this fan is the easy-to-clean feature—metal clips and a small bolt hold the grille in place. Very easy to undo and allows you to wipe off dust from the grille and impeller. No metal screws into plastic fittings which allow just a few undo-ings until the plastic threads get stripped. Why is this so important? Keeping the impeller free of built up dust and grime allow the fan to work efficiently w less friction and kess wear/tear on the motor. More about why I like this fan… Brushless motor. This is built to last. It might need a few drops of oil from time to time. That’s alot easier and economical than replacing the entire appliance. (A “brush” motor has little carbon pins that make contact to keep the motor running…but with each turn of the motor, those pins (“brush”) wear down until eventually no contact can be made, and the motor will not turn anymore.). Whirring sound like a smooth propeller. Perfectly centered, no wobble or asymmetry. Almost a white noise type sound. Solid construction, all metal. 3 speeds. High moves 1800 CFM ! Moves mountains of air in a tiny 12” size. Best of all, EZ to clean! Did I already explain how easy this fan is to clean? It is a rare gem in a sea of throw away plastic fans with metal screws into plastic threads that allow only a few undoings before they will not hold together anymore and the entire appliance needs to be replaced. P.S. During summer heat dome weather, we place this on the floor of our coolest room. It distributes cool air and the room feels as if it has a little AC on. Bottom line: highly recommend this fan for quality build, function and compact-but-mighty size. ... show more

    • Moves Some Air! LOVE This Fan.

I have been looking for a nice fan for years. I have had this fan for about a week now and use it every night, all night. 1. Well-built. 2. Moves a ton of air! 3. Makes a lot of white noise which I need for sleeping. 4. Only 2 drawbacks that I see are (1) The power cord is pretty short - maybe a few feet, and (2) You have to make sure the screw and nut stays tight at the bottom, otherwise you might get a rattle sound. 1-MONTH UPDATE: Still works great, but I need to add 1 more drawback: When I plugged the fan into a power strip, the motor got hot and smelled like it within 1 hour of running on low. When it's plugged into the wall directly, no problems. I am NOT an expert in electricity, so my power strip might be bad, not grounded, etc. That was just my experience - so I would stick with only plugging it into the wall outlet, and not a power strip. ... show more
