  • Great way to solve connectivity gaps
Style: 4G
This device has exceeded expectations thus far, testing on remote camping trip next week but has worked great around town in the meantime. Easy to use, no contract, simple, and battery seems as advertised. I did customize the SSID and password though and would recommend for others. I can also use my device’s VPN through this! ... show more

  • Absolutely love it!!
We go camping with our RV and some spots claim they have WiFi but the signal is weak because they don’t have extenders. In any case we’ve found out because now we are there and are faced with that issue. I have researched a lot and for a long time. I saw some but my issue was that you would need a monthly plan and we still work full time and only go out for 5-7 days. So a monthly plan was overkill. I didn’t want to drill hole on or in my camper (another draw back). Then I discovered first Solis Lite but still didn’t jump on it. I loved the concept but I never bought it. Forgot about it for a while. Went on some camping trips had good WiFi, forgot about it a little more. Then came across the 5g Solis. This one did spark my interest a little bit more so I dove into the actual website to find out more about it. I was taken aback that not only does the work here in the states but over seas too. No SIM card so you aren’t married to just one cellphone carrier (big plus for me)! It works internationally and we do travel. It was very easy almost a no brainer not to get it. So I added it to my cart (that’s a big thing if you make it to my cart). I kept looking and researching it and on prime day the price went down significantly which made it even easier to hit checkout; and I did. I told my coworkers about it because he too was looking for something and he bought it too. So life after 6 months with it- still amazing! I even take it to work with me because signal is bad in my office. When we’ve gone camping, it has made streaming super easy (15yr son gaming at night). Battery last pretty decent and everything is done online through the website. Which makes purchasing more when you need it very easy. Again I love it, my coworker loves his. Best thing that took me a long time to get. Now I never leave home without it. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money
Style: 4G
Don’t buy this.. Worked well for about a week and a half, then completely stopped charging and started making a high-pitched noise. I wasn’t even streaming — just using it for basic laptop work — and my data ran out way faster than expected. I paid $90 for the 30-day unlimited plan, and right after that, the device stopped working. Support has been somewhat helpful (they paused my data), but there’s still no real fix. I was told to try different charging methods, which didn’t help. I work remotely and need reliable internet. Because this one failed, I had to spend even more money on a different, more expensive device just to stay connected and keep working. I can’t just go to a coffee shop due to my hours, so this was incredibly frustrating. If you’re looking for reliability, this isn’t it. Maybe they’ll fix it, but for now, I’m disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it. Don’t waste your money — I wish I hadn’t. I’ve now spent almost $400. Of course I plan to return one- but I didn’t have an option as I NEED internet. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Style: 4G
I really like this device. I use it mainly as a backup or if I'm going to be on the road and don't want to lose service. Also if there's a weather emergency or something like that and the power goes out, this will keep us connected. The 1GB/monthly data plan is legitimately awesome. They refresh it every month; it goes really fast, but it's usually enough for my monthly car trips. Then the wide array of data options makes it easy to pick the exact right amount. Finally, the battery life is indeed outstanding. I've never used it to charge my iPhone, but I'm sure it could handle it easily. Very happy I purchased. ... show more

  • Great for international travel
I do a lot of international travel and needed to be able to connect me and my team to reliable internet especially during trade shows. I have used it very successfully in multiple cities in Mexico, Colombia and China and single city in Aruba. It loses one 1/2 a star for its very slow or not working when I return to the USA. You get 1GB free to use per month which is nice. When traveling with my team and using it as a hotspot I purchase the Unlimited International Plan for $99 a month which is a steal compared to US international carrier plans. I have had 4 phones, two iPads and two computers connected to it at the same time. It is very easy to purchase plans and also disable them from the website, no hassle of trying to call support or jumping through hoops. I wish I could select 4.5 stars because it is a great device with reasonable plans and great functionality. ... show more

  • BEST DEVICE EVER!!
Style: 4G
OMG!!! Why didn’t I get this mobile hot spot sooner!! I wasted money on a Much Cheaper device that was TERRIBLE!! I took this to work because I’m on the 3rd floor, there are no windows, and it feels like you’re in a basement. When I used my cell phone all I saw was that wonderful circle spinning endlessly. Pages would not load, couldn’t search for what I needed. Now, when I turn this device on, it’s like eating my favorite chocolate dessert!!! What a treat!!! Best device EVER!!! ... show more

  • Poor Connectivity and Support - I Regret this Purchase
I have had this device for 9 months now while I have traveled throughout US and Mexico. Connectivity is so slow as to be worthless. I contacted support, and they asked questions like "have you rebooted?" Support sent me another device that performed as poorly, but also often overheats and has poor battery life. On top of that, the device interface is really kludge and only offers basic configuration options. I absolutely would not buy this device again. My mobile phone hotspot is much faster and more reliable. There are many, less expensive hotspots, available. Do yourself a favor and save the money and the aggravation. ... show more
