At first it gave off a pretty wet gel look but the more you blow dry and run a comb thru it the more natural your hair will look . I usually use crew fiber but my hair is super thick so this stuff works great doesn't make it look as thick and the hold seems real good to and what I really like is it much easier to wash off then the fiber . Both are good pomades though

Small amount goes a long way. I can do my hair at 7:00 am and it’s still in place when I head home in the evening. It holds similar to their normal pomade but having to use less keeps that weird pomade smell to a minimum.

I'm big fan of American crew hair cream products. I have been using green and orange color creams for couple of years now. This time i tried this black colored heavy hold pomade and I totally liked it. I used to use only green, it gives good hold but matte look. However, this black pomade is perfect for me. It gives heavy hold and shine too! I'm glad AC launched this product finally and it really meets my expectation. Product came in nice packaging, no damage at all. I bought this for my son who is 11 and likes to style his hair. I use this too for my frizz and fly aways. So yes, it can be used for both girls and boys and the price was right. A little goes a long ways. So put on your finger tips and rub together and then style.

I’ve always liked American Crew. It’s a great product if all you want is something to throw in your hair. If you’re using with a blow dryer or other chemicals, maybe not so much.
