First off for weights, I'd recommend the sellers other gloves: 'SIMARI Workout Gloves Mens and Women Weight Lifting Gloves with Wrist Wraps Support for Gym Training, Full Palm Protection for Fitness, Weightlifting, Exercise, Hanging, Pull ups.' Those have a lot more wrist support and the strap is a lot more sturdy. That being said these are not bad for lightweight workouts, cycling, bowling, golfing, basketball, etc. My biggest qualm with the gloves are that they won't last you a long time, these are my second pair by the seller and I did like the heavier and sturdier gloves because I could use them for both lightweight calisthenics and heavier sets without switching gloves. Maybe it was my workout routine but I nailed into these for 20 hours weekly and they lasted about 3 months. The cushions on the palm begin to fade and become depressed with all the continuous stress, a lot more noticable at the start of the 3rd month. I'm probably going to keep buying from the seller, albiet the other pair they have in stock, because they offer the best comfortably, flexibility, and breathability amongst most 'workout' branded gloves I tried. If you want something firm, I recommend trying leather gloves, they were too stiff for me and didn't allow the same flexibility in my grip so I came back to these but were amazing for support and protection (maybe too good) and the difference was substancial. Ultimately I decided if I could get 3 months of comfortable and diligent workouts in then my money was well spent but if you want more buffer in your pads, invest a little more time and money into leather; if you want a 'true feel' without any of the damage to your palms like myself or you're just starting off, get the other gloves I recommended but buy from this distributor.
