I purchased these to replace the non-locking tuners I had put on my PRS (CE24) project. I can tell you one thing; these are NOT exactly as good as the PRS Phase II locking tuners. These Guykers seem to be a little less responsive when tuning up or down just a little bit. I find myself tugging on the strings after making a slight adjustment of the tuner to make sure the string is where it needs to be. If I am restringing the guitar, I don't notice this issue at all. Honestly, I love them - for around 1/3 of the price of the originals, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. Even better - the keystone style knobs give more clearance for my bigger fingers. One additional note - I received an email from the vendor inquiring about my satisfaction with the purchase; I told them that the 4th string tuner was binding slightly. They immediately confirmed the exact orientation of the tuner in question and sent me a replacement. Their customer service is great! ... show more

Guyker Tuners are a bit of an acorn in the tuner world. They offer things that only people like Hipshot offer, like 18:1 ratio, and locking features, save they are about 60% less. So why buy Guykers? They are a great looking tuner, especially the butterbean model, and obviously people like me agree, as they are often delayed for delivery since they are out of stock USA. I used to be try and be frugal, using Wilkinson and sometimes Grover's, but to be honest, I find that the Guykers are all that and more, for less money. I have placed at least 10-15 sets on guitars, and found only one that the ferrule was a bit mismatched with the threads in the body. I corrected it by finding ferrules that were longer, and problem solved. This is over 18 months of using Guykers. Yes, I have guitars with Hipshots, Grovers, Schallers, and others, but for the money, the almightly dollar, Guykers are the best I have found. Their 21:1 locking tuners cannot be beat. I’ll start with what I liked about these. They felt very solid and they looked very nice. I had super high hopes as I installed them. Installation was not a problem stringing was not a problem. The problem is there is about inconsistent as the tuners on a Squier bullet. This was shocking but this was not the first time. this was the third time I had to return one of their products. The first set of tuners I returned for a different guitar because two in the box were actually broken apart. The second I returned because they had sharp edges that kept snapping strings. I filed them and filed them to make it smooth but realized why am I failing some thing I just bought? Ended up with Grovers. Happy! This time, after giving it as long a wait as possible before losing the return window, I’m returning. Not only did not help the tuning, but half of the tuners have slippage like cheap tuners would have. Two felt solid and strong like they should one was so strong it was very difficult to even turn and loosening it up didn’t change anything. I have six tuners only two of them operated well. Really a shame because the 21 to 1 ratio I was looking forward to this. Doing what I end up always doing, returning these getting my money back and spending extra for Grovers or Gotoh. I keep learning my lesson the hard way that tuner is on the one part of the guitar you should never skimp on ever. ... show more

Tuners are ok , but sometimes loosen up tooo easily . Hard to lock them down. Spend teh money and buy a better brand like Hip Shot or something comp.

I almost didn’t purchase these after reading some of the negative reviews. I’m glad I gave them a shot, they’re great. Installed on a Donner LP that would not stay in tune before, problem solved. Great tuners for the price, but really they’d be great at any price.
