Power on, lights work, but no ice → possible issue in the ice-making process. Ice is made but output is abnormal → possible compressor issue, refrigerant depletion, or no cooling. Why is my ice maker leaking water? Water leaks before ice making → there may be a defect in the machine. Water at the base during operation → likely condensation from cold surfaces, not a leak. Overfilling water above the max line can also cause spills. Is it normal for the ice maker to be noisy? Noise comes from the cooling fan, solenoid valves, and motor. Normal household conversation masks typical operating sounds. Noise tolerance varies, so it’s best used in environments with some background sound. Is cleaning the ice maker difficult? Setting: we have a fully functioning through-the-door ice dispenser on our refrigerator, that makes more ice than we can use. We also have an icemaker on another refrigerator that we don't currently use, but we could if we needed to (say, for a party). Thus we would be unlikely to need this. We bought one as a gift for my sister. We tried it before we gave it to her, and we almost DIDN'T give it to her... the basket of ice it made was so convenient, that we started drinking water more frequently than we ever had before. We considered that to be a healthy change, so after the gifting - leaving us without our new appliance - we immediately turned to Amazon for our own. The prices seem to fluctuate frequently on these icemakers, and the chosen color or finish can make a $30 or more difference! We found this stainless model at a good discount because it was an Amazon "renewed" item. It arrived looking like it was brand new, with the only indication of a short life before our purchase being some labels cut out of the packaging. The item itself was "mint" and even had the protective plastic wrap covering the stainless steel body (as seen in the photo). It works great, and quickly, making nice nuggets of ice that are just right for drinks (or chewing, but don't tell my dentist). I have only two small complaints with this model: 1) the newly-made ice tends to fill up one side of the basket, tripping the "ice full" sensor prematurely, and 2) the stainless steel body will not hold the suction cup hook provided to hold the scoop. Ironically, the suction cup held fast to the protective plastic, but when we removed that, it doesn't hold long to the actual steel. If the "ice full" light comes on prematurely, you can just sweep the ice down into the bucket and it will clear without needing to restart the machine. So... we LOVE this machine and now can't imagine not turning it on every morning. We keep it on the kitchen counter, where you can hear it, but not loudly. We turn it off at night when we've taken the last batch out for the evening. It's now a permanent fixture on our appliance-packed kitchen counter. Highly recommend!

Our refrigerator ice maker stopped working awhile ago, so my wife and I decided to go with a countertop model. Found this one on a limited time sale for under 50 bucks! Had good reviews, so took a chance. Works like a charm so far! Makes ice quickly and the ice lasts in the bin longer than expected without melting. The size of the unit is sufficient for our use, but you may want something larger if you need more than 5 or 6 servings of ice at a time. Good value for the price!

Ice capacity: This ice maker works fine for its purpose—it gets the job done. The large cubes are great (especially if you're into ASMR), but the small cube setting doesn’t make much of a difference and feels kind of useless. One downside is that the ice melts quickly once it hits the bottom of the machine, so you have to use or transfer it fast. Cleaning isn’t the easiest either, and the included tray fills up a little too quickly. That said, if you're just looking for a compact, reliable ice maker for occasional use, it does what it's supposed to.

🗓️ Length of Ownership: I’ve had this ice maker for almost a year now, and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it’s held up. I wasn’t expecting it to last this long for the price, but it’s been a great investment, especially during the summer. ❄️ Performance: We keep the machine running constantly in the warmer months, and it consistently provides fresh ice throughout the day. You can choose between small or large ice cubes—though even the “large” ones aren’t huge, they’re a perfect size for our drinks. As long as the bin isn’t full, the machine keeps producing ice reliably without any issues. 🧼 Maintenance: Taking care of this machine has been very simple. About once every two weeks, I wipe it down with vinegar and warm water—mainly the inside compartment and the removable basket. That’s really all it takes to keep it clean and running smoothly. It’s not complicated at all and only takes a few minutes. 🔊 Noise Level: The noise level is surprisingly reasonable. It’s not silent, but it’s definitely not loud enough to be annoying. We usually have it running in the background, and it doesn’t bother us at all. 👨👩👧 Usage & Capacity: It’s just my husband and me using it, and it easily covers our daily needs—typically 6 to 8 drinks a day in the summer. VERY high maintenance machine!! Makes ice, BUT… DO NOT LET WATER SIT IN THIS UNIT - NOT EVEN FOR ONE DAY! I go through a LOT of ice! I make ice every other day. When I had to replace my Avalon Bay Ice Cube Maker I was incredibly disappointed that they no longer make countertop models. That unit lasted me for 12 years! Maintenance on my Avalon Bay machine was incredibly simple. I rubbed it down thoroughly with lemon juice probably every other week, and once a month ran a lemon juice mixture through the machine. I never had any issues with my machine (and once a quarter gave it a cleaning with vinegar water). The ice always tasted fresh and clean. Its downfall was when the scoop finally broke. 12 years NO chemical cleaning necessary! Remember, I make a LOT of ice, so it performed famously! This new machine is SO high maintenance! I make approximately one and a half full reservoirs of ice cubes every other day, so the machine NEVER sits inactive long. If I leave any trace of water in this unit overnight, when I fill the reservoir with water I get black floating gunk/film emerge from the tube that sucks the water up into the unit. After making ice I have to tilt the machine to ensure that all water is emptied when I am done making ice. I also remove the little gasket/cover inside the reservoir, tube up a paper-towel and stick it into that tube that sucks water into the machine, tilt it forward, to help ensure all water from the tubes are evacuated. This has to be a flaw in the design that causes water to pool in the tubing in order for it to create scaling and mold of this nature within the unit. I never once had that issue with my Avalon Bay unit in 12 years. This started with Silonn unit within the first week after I got the unit. I did a thorough cleaning and descaling of the unit with chemical descalers (which I like to avoid for health reasons), then ran water and vinegar through it to ensure it is clean. Now when I make ice I have made a habit of dumping all water from the unit, making sure the unit is dry, and give it a rub-down with lemon. Now that I have started that routine I have not had anymore issues with it, but it is a pain not being able to allow water to sit in this unit for just one day. Yes, I use filtered water.

Family of five who like their ice and this little machine sure delivers ! Good compact table top unit all accessible parts for what’s needed. Easy to fill from the top in a large open reservoir. Starts making ice as soon as it’s filled. Continues to make ice until the ice tray at the front is full.. indicates it’s full so either empty or move the ice from the top that meets the little lever floor that comes up and then it starts making again. I store some ice in the freezer from the machine just in case we run out and some folk empty the whole unit straight into a container or in the freezer. Our fridge doesn’t produce ice so that’s why I got this. Had it about six weeks and it’s just great. It is a little noisy when it releases the ice if the tray is empty but that doesn’t bother us as the e house is normally pretty noisy anyway ! Great machine
