Hi all! So I have a PS4 and a PS5. It worked on both wonderfully and I was very happy it worked on the five. You just have to configure it but it configured itself really just press yes/confirm on the initial set up screen. I didn’t have to YouTube or look up any specific instructions and now I feel like I can really expand my game catalog on both consoles. It’s quick to delete something but moving data from storage to the console to play does take time depending on the size so keep that in mind. I just switch between games and go walk my dog or something while it works. Would recommend. ... show more

Despite what it says, this drive will not store PS5 games! Thought we'd have to return it but then figured out that we could move the PS4 games and that made enough room on the console for some new PS5 games.

I like it. This extetnal drive advertised itself as PS4 friendly. It claims to support 3.2 USB. To my surprise, the PS4 seemed to think the drive did not meet all the requirements for use. I got the PS4 to format, but not to accept the drive for storage. I plugged the drive into my laptop, formatted it there, and then plugged it back into the PS4 - it's now working, although, it's taking 30 mins to move 6 games from internal storage to this new external drive.
