This is the Cherry of pastry mats. The size will accommodate most anything. There’s 3 sizes for pie crust. The inch and metric measurements are a real plus for me. It’s got weight and just the right thickness. Lays out flat. Wipes off easily and cleanly. It is a nice looking, great quality, easy to use, smooth pastry mat. I roll it up and stand it inside with my cookware. The price is great as well.

A great addition to our kitchen. My Granddaughter loves to bake but she creates a mess all over the countertop whenever she bakes. She especially likes to bake breads so flour and other ingredients are all over the place. I purchased this mat in order to provide her a specific area to confine her preparation and to assist her with measurements. This silicone mat was the perfect solution. The measurements for rolling out the dough for her specific bread or pastry are embedded into the mat. Aside from these amenities, the mat provides a non-slip surface on our countertop, wipes clean with a simple wash, and stores easily in a drawer or cabinet. It can be folded or rolled to fit the smallest space, and can even go into the oven for ease of baking cookies. The instructions read that the mat is oven safe to 400+ degrees but she has not used it in the oven. Ease of use and cleanup, along with its ample size make this a must have for any baker.

The mat came in a flat box folded but as soon as I rolled it out, it laid flat and the edges don't curl up. It is thinner than what I expected, but it has a good quality that I was looking for, which was : 1. It has non stick surface so the dough will not stick on the mat 2. The media could not be loaded. In recent years, my passion for baking bread in my kitchen has been growing. I've learned a lot of baking secrets by watching more experienced bakers' videos. To my surprise, many good bakers are using baking mats on the surface where they knead and roll their buns and biscuits. Why didn't I know about this before? Many of my past loaves or pizza dough, left to proof, ended up sticking to my table or cutting board. Enter.... the baking mat! It is a life changer for the baker. It makes the whole bread-making adventure a lot easier. The mat has a great texture that helps you spread flour easier. The dough does not stick to the mat. The mat features drawings of circles and a grid that make measuring your dough simple. It also has a chart that helps you translate the liquid or volume measurements of your ingredients. I debated on size, since I don't want to store something large if I don't need the extra size when actually cooking. The 20x28 worked great for yeast products. Love the measurements and barely need any flour, so dough doesn't dry out, yet doesn't stick. Wish I had gotten 1 sooner!
