    • Definitely a must have...
If you have a Cameo 4 you need to get this engraving tip, it will enhance your crafting in beautiful ways! I used it to make engraved plates to go in shadow boxes and it works wonderfully!

    • Doesn't work...doesn't even go to where it is suppose to etch, but everywhere else!!!
I have read countless reviews praising this tool, but it will not work for me...someone suggested watching a video, but alas no instructions on where to located this video. I am over the top frustrated with the performance of this tool!!!

    • Tool dulls quickly!!
The etching tool is great for the first five projects but it dulls very quickly. You would think etching an aluminum dog tag would be no problem. Ive ordered 2 of these and both are dull, it takes many passes and hours to complete one dog tag.

Works great with my Cameo 4. I recommend read and follow the directions that come with it and watch the video. No problems.

    • Didn’t work out on acrylic disc for me
It’s great for doing dog tags or anything flat, I tried doing acrylic disc and I could not get it to even get up on top of the disc. I asked others how they did it with their machine and I got no response. The disc are 3mm and it should work but I can’t figure it out for the life of me. I did metal engraving and it turned out great but that’s all I find it’s good for. Anything flat will work ... show more

    • Does not work with my Cameo 4 or Cameo 5
I bought this and the Precision Tip together. The Precision Tip fits in TOOL HOLDER 1 and does not move at all. This tool does not stay and pops out the top as soon as any pressure is applied (you can also pull it out the top with your fingers with the lock in place) -- this tool isn't machined the same as the Precision Tool; it is physically smaller diameter than the Precision one I also purchased. I need to locate my Pen Holder Adapters to see if they will work with this. As others have stated, there are no instructions, but plenty of videos on the Internet. There is a printed sheet of paper included that states no adapters are needed, etc. I'll be using my Precision tool it seems as this one does not work with my Cameo 4 or Cameo 5 (The Precision version works in both as the diameter is physically larger). EDIT: For those complaining that their Cameo doesn't READ THE TOOL; it isn't going to nor supposed to! This is a MANUAL TOOL and you tell Silhouette Studio the manual tool is installed (drop down list), then adjust pressure and speed. From Comas Creations direct: "The engraving and precision tip go in the right hand side of the machine in place of the blade. Please select the cut option in the software." ... show more
